Food was good, service was excellent. Our server, Amanda, was on top of all. Drinks were refilled before asking, she gave progress reports on how close the cooking was progressing. Food arrived hot and tasty.
There is no place in Tallahassee that offers this quality of country cooking! Daily specials along with very good selection of vegetables. Also good selection of sandwich items and home made desserts. Very friendly service staff!
Loved this Diner! We were traveling thru and saw a sign for Ruby's diner so we tried it. Boy were we happy we did! We were able to get real down home cooking and it tasted wonderful!!! The diner is very small and it only serves breakfast and lunch . The place was packed and the people kept coming and going the whole time we were there. Their menu was large and so were their portions! My husband had meatloaf with sweet potato casserole and green beans with bacon. He said it was delicious! I had liver and onions with buttered corn bread. The food was so good! We had to take half of both of ours home along with fresh homemade peach cobbler!!! I wish we could have taken the restaurant home too!! The restaurant seemed to be a place where a lot of the locals frequent daily. A definate place to try for yourself!
The food is always fresh and delicious. Chicken and dumplings were yummy! Service is consistently good.
Mouthwatering and juicy fried chicken tender dinner plate was phenomenal! The veggie sides were great. Nice cozy local owned/run diner. To me, great location. Good staff & service.
I love this little local dinner.Soups, sandwiches, burgers and down home cooking enjoy!
I'm not a home cooking kinda girl but if I were I would eat here. I'm giving it a 5 star rating because it has great southern home cooking food and the staff is very attentive. I'm never really looking for this kind of cuisine but my omelet was awesome and the rest of my family who is looking for southern home cooking was very happy!
Very healthy options if your on keto, just ask for no bread. Fully accommodating with that. Delicious meal.
Good food at good prices. Not as good a Bada Bean, but good. Atmosphere is neighborhood diner, many regulars.
We have had breakfast there a number of times in the last few months. The food is pretty standard fare (we usually have scrambled eggs, bacon, and grits or hash browns), but the service is excellent and the food quality and preparation are consistently good. The decor is homey, but well-kept.

We eat here monthly. If is a small family type restaurant. Menu is somewhat limited but everything on the menu that we have tried has been good. Price is very reasonable. Service has always been good and friendly.
The super friendly staff, the service, the food, and our exit...the visit was wonderful. Live 20 minutes away and finally tried this place. It was a great family experience and we will be going back soon.
You would think you were home with Mom, Grandma or that favorite Aunt. Great food and kind service. Yum!
We go to Ruby's when we are out that way. Good home-made tasting comfort food like meatloaf, liver & onions, schnitzel. Coconut cake and butterfinger cake are to die for!
