Very good, upbeat, not stuffy for fine-ish dining. They manage diner reservations well to allow for proper service based on capable staff. Plan on a big spend for well prepared conservative portions.

Second visit and the food was great. Service was friendly and efficient. Aesthetically it's practical but comfortable. We will visit them again next time we are in town again.

Anytime we are traveling through Tallahassee we have to stop by Sage. The food is always very delicious and if the weather is nice you can sit outside as well. If you want to sit at the bar they have a nice bourbon selection. We will definitely be back.

First timers. My husband had the Wienerschnitzel, which he said was very good as were the accompaniments spaetzle and red cabbage. The sesame tuna app was plentiful and very good. The brownie with salted caramel, and ice cream was excellent and I don’t even like dessert normally

Good food but inconsistent service and quality. I've had as many great dishes there as I've had average dishes, however I've never had below average food there.

Another fabulous dinner at Sage! We started with a raw oyster selection that was wonderful, including the three sauce options (although I'm pretty sure someone made a mistake with the Mignonette - what we received was definitely not that, as whatever it was had oil in it). The shrimp and scallops my friend had were super tasty, along with the accompanying veggie combination - she mentioned how surprisingly great it was several times. I had the trout amandine and everything about it was perfect - the almonds were deliciously toasty and crisp over the perfectly cooked trout. The St. Supery Merlot was a bonus (thanks, Craig!!), and the maple crème brûlée was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious!! Service was also spectacular!!

Reviewed my dinner receipt from last evening and was shocked to see that the price for the steak "special" was $75. The price was not noted on the chalk board nor was it mentioned by our server. "Special"? I think not!

Having been to Sage several times with friends & business, it is overall a nice, civilized farm to table restaurant. My most recent visits were demeaning. The owner honored the gentleman’s request for a different vegetable with his filet but refused mine!No longer do I indulge in corn which came in succotash with the filet. In addition, I had to stare down the bar for a second glass of their house wine while sitting directly across from the bar.In a meeting with business associates, I requested a to go box for my chicken breast three times and was told it would be boxed up and brought to me three times. Needless to say. after another hour people we’re leaving and I never received my to go box.Service needs to improve and the owner needs to treat women with kindness and respect and honor requests the same as he does men.Well, well, the response is that you are stating, "I am untruthful aka lying" about not receiving my left over chicken breast from the meeting as well as being denied a different vegetable. So you have resorted to insults and character assassination. Let people see how you treat your guests.

A hidden gem, tucked away on the outskirts of town. Food was excellent. Salmon was well prepared, fried oysters were a table favorite, and the Croque Monsieur (fancy ham sandwich) was a hit. Service was also fantastic.

This place is only receiving a 4 because we had to wait at lunch 3 top for 45 minutes. Server was quiet, but friendly. The bartender actually sold us on what to order (where we waited on a table bc there were three of us we couldn't order there either the couple and single person who came in sat at the bar and ordered). The shrimp burger was the stand out. The chicken sandwich was a close second. Highly recommend! Make sure you have a reservation.

Pretty and quaint restaurant. The appetizers were great. I had the filet which was not the best I've ever had, but it was good. Little pricy but as was expected. Weird, they did not have any bottled sparkling water i.e. San Pellegrino.. brought a bottle from the depths of the basement though which was flat but shows a dedicated service staff.

Great atmosphere and professional waiters who don't make you feel rushed but are also accessible to answer questions or take your requests. The unique cocktails added to the fun. I recommend the El Chupacabra for a spicy take on a margarita. We started with Fried Green Tomatoes with goat cheese. Great starter with tons of flavor. Then moved on to the Oak Grilled Filet Mignon and Herb Seared Snapper. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. For dessert I highly recommend the Warm Pear Crisp and the S'mores Creme Brulee. Both were just sweet enough to satisfy without being a heavy sugar rush.
