Order here if you like your money wasted. I ordered the oxtail combo for $35. The oxtails were tough, had no meat or sauce and the rice tasted like it came out of a microwavable packet. Only things that were edible was the mac and collard greens. I ordered here before and it wasn't that bad but this will be my last time ordering. A damn shame.

Sadly I will not be returning here. Simply because of the service. I’m very particular on customer service from restaurants. When you work very hard for your money, you demand respect and when spending it at these establishments! I’ve left restaurants simply because they don’t speak when I enter. Although my family and I have found the food to be good. Without writing a book, the daughter misheard our order, therefore overcharged us for a meal. When I asked her what the total was for then she proceeded to give me an attitude and suck her teeth. I said something to her about this response, she then goes back n forth with me as if I’m not clearly old enough to be her parent and visibly 9 months pregnant. Just blatantly rude. I ask her to get an adult from the back. At this point I’m thinking your a child let me speak to an adult. Her mother comes out, I know this because I asked. I mention I have a teenager too, but I’m not tolerating no disrespect, even mentioned food is good but I will not be treated any ol way. Mother doesn’t ask what happened?? Odd to me! Doesn’t ask daughter what happened? I ask for my money back and she politely does so. It appeared as though this behavior was not going to checked, possibly was afterwards. But let me be real that look that mothers give they children when they get out of line and need straightening, NEVER took place. Bottom line, I read this as something that this daughter does and no accountability was going to be given. Small establishments are held to a different standard in my POV. Treat ppl like they are spending their hard earned money with you and you want them to continue to choose your place of business!!

This is our second time getting food from here. Great southern food. Last week I had meatloaf, mac/ cheese with collard greens. Today catfish, mac/cheese, with cabbage. This will be the place after church. Oh the price is very reasonable.

Purchased 2 Turkey Wing dinners. One with dressing & candied yams. One with cabbage & Mac & cheese. Both dinners were very good 👍🏾. We devoured our meals and actually got 2 meals each from them.

I chose Southern Bella’s Kitchen because the food looked delicious on the photos in Door Dash app. I wish I would have read the reviews here first and saved $70. The greens were horrible, too tough and too much vinegar. The Mac and cheese had potential but it tasted sour. I don’t know what flavors of cheese they use or if it was actually sour. The bake chicken was ok, just needed some seasoning. The yellow rice as well….everything was just bland. I’ve honestly never had a meal that lack seasoning the way this did. I had to put hot sauce on the bake chicken and rice in order to eat it. I threw the greens and mac & cheese away. And the corn bread wasn’t too bad. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Their food taste like a warm summer evening on your grandma’s front porch — slow, sweet, and full of comfort. Butter beans soft and creamy, like they’ve been kissed by butter and love in equal measure. When you take that first bite of your meal it’s like being back in Grandma’s kitchen, where the windows are fogged up from the steam of a pot with collards that’s been simmering all afternoon. Although these didn't simmer quite long enough but still enough you don't want to wait for them to finish cooking before diving into them You can almost hear the screen door creak, smell the cornbread in the oven, and feel the cool breeze carrying the scent of magnolias. The food tastes like home, like tradition, like someone’s been stirring the pot with care and a whole lot of soul.
Each bite of chicken was a celebration — crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with layers of flavor that taste like history, tradition, and Sunday supper all rolled into one. The seasoning don’t just sit on the skin — it sinks in, like it was whispered down through generations. You don’t just eat this chicken — you feel it. It’s the kind that fills the kitchen with a smell so powerful, it’ll bring folks outta rooms they weren’t even supposed to be in. It’s a dish that says, “we don’t measure, we feel the spice,” and baby, we felt it all the way down to the bone.

When I say I was pleasantly surprised about my experience here that is a understatement. The food was fresh and had so much flavor and the place was very clean even though we came during the last part of the day. I'm proud of the ladies working here and glad to see a black business thriving!
