We had a great evening at Blu Halo. When I made our reservation on Open Table I requested a table near the bar if there was live music, and they definitely accommodated! Drinks were excellent, as was the steak. We will be back…again and again!

Went to celebrate with family, and we ended up throwing away the left over food and ate at another place. Found hair in the potatoes, hair on the steak, fly in the drink. For average people it might be fine but we left in disgust. I’m writing a review so others will get a better service in the future since a manager was not called.. picture of the fly we sat indoors and the fly came with the refilling of the drink.

Can't in good conscious recommend the Blu Halo.It's trendy, fashionable, and nestled right in the heart of NE Tallahassee, and it's better for a place to get a drink than it is to get a meal.I've gone twice - Once about a year ago, again early March of 2024.Both times I ordered a steak - The first time a ribeye, the second time the filet.Both times, the steak came out cold. The first time, with the ribeye, I sent it back. This time I didn't bother, because lo and behold when they cooked me a new steak with the ribeye, the recook came out cold too.The red skin potatoes were bland, the steaks appeared to lack even a dusting of salt and pepper, and the cuts weren't anything to write home about.Service was great, the drinks were strong and satisfying. Expensive, but as is everything else at Blu Halo. This was the only part of the experience that was worth it. They make a great old fashioned.While the first time I went the restaurant was busy, early march of 2024 was not that bad - there's no excuse for a $55-$60 steak to come out cold. Do better guys. Outback is a loathesome restaurant but if I were going out for a steak, their offering is actually better.$125 for a disappointing meal with a few good drinks is not worth it in the slightest.

First time visitor. The location is great. I went on a Saturday at 1pm for brunch. When I arrived I was seated quickly. The waiter came right over and gave me a menu and asked if I wanted a drink while I waited for my other party to arrive. I would say the waiter was pretty nice, nothing over the top and nothing lacked. I ordered chicken(tenders) and waffles. I must say that waffle was soft and fluffy, my favorite. The chicken was decent and flavored well. I got a bowl of grits on the side and sent them back cause they had corn in it and were too thick for my taste. Never tasted grits like that. Both me and my friend sent them back. I had the pineapple and mango mimosas and they both were great. Overall I'd go back. The atmosphere were my favorite part. It was chilled and not over stimulating. Some restaurants have a tendency to have a lot going on, but at the Blu Halo I didn't experience that. My friend got a omelette and she said it was really good.

The laid back vibe of The Blue Halo was very enjoyable and conducive to still being able to have a conversation over dinner. The filet mignon was buttery tender and so flavorful and the sides delicious. Our server was attentive and courteous!

Our experience at the Blu Halo was unforgettable! We went for an early valentine’s dinner on February 8th and it was excellent. Our server, Taylor, was very professional and so informative and responsive to all our questions. Andy was great with wine advice and the awesome Chef came out to check on us, too. The food was beyond our expectations. Highly recommend.

The restaurant looked modern and updated. However, when we were seated and opened our menus they were covered with food residue. Overall, the food was great. The steak tip appetizer was tender and melted in your mouth and the lamb chops were the favorite among the table.
Our server Robert G. was absolutely fantastic! He recommended the dry age back/chop which was amazing! He was super personable and my fiancés' birthday chocolate slice was out of this world! Thank you Blu Halo!

The 4 of us really enjoyed our food and the service! Blu Halo is one of the few upscale restaurants that are quiet so we can enjoy our meal and have good conversations! That is so valuable to us when we make restaurant reservations!

Food was pretty good. They had a live band which made it very hard to hear each other talking. The venue isn't large enough for live music in my personal opinion but still had a great time.

This is a restaurant for the books! Me and my partner always enjoy the food and service here. The “triple P” is one of the best meals on the menu and the sangria is one of a kind! Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting tallahassee.
