Meatball Sub: 10/10Special- Spicy Jalapeno & Onion Sausage: 10/10Mac N' Cheese: 8/10TLDR; highly recommend, we will be coming back !!The food was phenomenal, we were expecting smaller portions for the price and were happily surprised at how mounted the sandwiches came. The meatball sub was cheaper AND better tasting than the one we usually get at Firehouse.To the speciality sandwich we added jalapenos and more sauteed onions as our topping and it was beyond words delicious. I'm not a big fan of spice for the sake of spice, but the sausage had such a good flavor profile than just being spicy that I kept going back for more knowing it'd hurt.I wasn't a big fan of the Mac N' Cheese but it's probably just a me thing- my partner loved it just as much as everything else. It wasn't bad by any means, but when put next to such good entrees it fell into the background.The general atmosphere was also very welcoming. The way the space is utilized is so well thought out!!! Inside is a smaller portion of the shop where you place your order, a few small tables if you need to sit & breathe in the air-conditioning, and then a bigger outside seating area with benches & an awning for shade and rain cover. With a light breeze the area is very enjoyable to sit, eat, laugh, and people-watch. The recycling tubs next to the trash cans was also a nice touch that I appreciated seeing!!

The Crum Box Gastgarden is a great reason to quit vegan! (Though their chipotle/black bean veggie burger might be reason enough to start) Enjoyed their delicious annual Valenswine’s Day J*** Sausage special with pineapple salsa and mango mustard drizzle and a side of Mac n cheese! Owner makes everyone feel like his personal guest so come for the food and stay for the outdoor dining, live music on First Fridays and their comedian-hosted Cards Against Humanity game nights! It’ll be the best thing you’ve ever eaten out of an abandoned train car - I promise!

This was our first time visiting the Crum Box. It is a locally owned restaurant! The atmosphere is so cool with the old train Caboose as the kitchen. Pete, the owner, we kind. He came out and chatted with us. The food had amazing flavor! We will definitely be coming back to dine there again.
The food was great and service was extremely friendly. Atmosphere was fitting and trivia pursuit cards at the table were fun to do while waiting for our food.

Went here today cause man did I have a craving for a sausage link and wasn't disappointed man got that sauerkraut and grilled onions oh ma took me out the game definitely homemade coleslaw but Mac and cheese could be better though but overall good customer service and quality

Crum Box Gastgarden is one of our absolute FAVORITE restaurants in Tallahassee! Us adults order the "Punk 'n Gut" hand to grill sausages while our children prefer getting the meatball sub, made customized for them by Pete with meatballs and bread separate. It's an awesome place, like having lunch at your best friend's house! Bonus - they have local craft beer!!
