My wife and I went this evening for her birthday; this being my first visit, I can confirm that it was a phenomenal experience. Everything was wonderfully made and perfect, from the preparations, to the drinks and the entrees. Luis was wonderful, knowledgeable, helpful and overall cared very much about our experience. You can tell that everyone who's a part of this establishment is passionate and proud about what they do. My wife and I are excited to return and indulge ourselves in a Guided Expedition.

I love local restaurants in Tallahassee and this blows the others out of the water! The service staff is well educated on the menu, food and beverages.

Service was good. Portions are tiny for the price. It’s extremely over priced. A $50 6oz of meat should at least come with sides.

2 sides (mid at best), 2 pieces of meat (pretty good), 2 appetizers (mid) , 2 soft drinks were $220+

Been to way fancier restaurants, ordered very similar dishes and it was about $60 less. This is Not worth the price.

Outside of the box meals done very nicely. Bison and Antelope are on the menu as well as fish. Cocktails are all very good as well. 5 of us had dinner with everyone ordering something different and we all enjoyed tasting each other's meal. Usually you will find a sleeper among the plates but none were had. If you want something outside of your standard meat and potatoes dining this place is it.

Great food and drinks. The Huntsman Old Fashioned is the best drink I have this decade.

We've gone twice, both experiences were terrible. Once for our anniversary in November and once last night. The first time, we had a hair in our dish, which is gross, but it happens. The server compted our dessert which was great. Went back last night and was so disappointed. On both occasions every drink took 15 minutes, and last night my wife's red snapper was so over cooked you could pick the entire tiny filet up with your fork. Mentioned it to the server, 20 minutes later she received another overcooked piece of fish. The server basically said we miss on some entrees and moved on. Spend your time elsewhere.

An unforgettable night at The Huntsman! I asked my girlfriend to marry me here last night, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Huge thanks to Kumi and the trainee server for taking such thoughtful care of us—your kindness made the evening even more special. The charred squid appetizer was incredible, and both the country fried antelope and Involtini de Melanzane were absolutely delicious. We’ll remember this night forever—thank you for being part of such a meaningful moment!

So, while pondering my life and my appetite, I searched Tallahassee for a restaurant that could satisfy my urge for great food and great service! This in turn led me a restaurant that I heard about many times called The Huntsman! The Huntsman, from my understanding was a restaurant that specialized in wild game dishes that blended different cooking styles and recipes from around the world. I walked in not knowing what to expect (or if I would be able to find a table). I was greeted promptly and politely by a very nice host! I told her I would like to dine in if there was a spot. She led me to the bar and told me my server/bartender would take great care of me! Woody, my bartender was amazing! He was friendly and knowledgeable, always looking for an opportunity to talk about how amazing the food and drinks were. With this knowledge, I did what I normally do in a restaurant that I never been before—I let my server pick my meal. He chose the Crispy Duck Cassoulet and I went with his suggestion. This dish was combination of duck stock stewed white beans, wild boar bacon lardons, wild game sausage and brown butter breadcrumbs! I cannot tell you in words how amazing that dish was! It was so good, in fact, that I sat in silence for the first couple of moments as I was briefly transported to a cabin in the woods cooking my own duck stew. As I came back to the current moment, I heard the couple beside me ask what I had gotten and that it looked delicious! For dessert, I got a shortbread cake! The dish reminded me of a tiramisu with a slightly more orange cream flavor. It was outstanding! This was all paired with a Duck Cove Pinot Noir from Oregon! I can say, without a doubt, that the food, service and atmosphere was outstanding! I give it 5 out of 5 bones! Thanks for an amazing experience!

We made a reservation through the website for our anniversary and they said they don't have it and turned us away. Happy Anniversary to us. They lost our business.
