We came here for a late Saturday dinner and the service was wonderful. I had the Shrimp Bucatini, and the alfredo sauce was incredibly creamy without being too heavy. My partner ordered the American Wagyu Ragu which was rich and came with some really great grilled sourdough. We finished with a coconut mousse for dessert that was light and refreshing. It’s a great choice if you want a high-quality meal in a place that feels special.

Amazing brunch. Steak and egg flatbread and BBQ pulled pork Benedict were phenomenal.

I really want to like this place, but its food is just so far under the expectation you would have walking in to a restaurant like this. We came here for brunch and got the blueberry salad, French toast, smash burger, omelet and danish’s. The omelet was fine, nothing better than Bada bean or Canopy Road Cafe. The salad is what really lacked, it wasn’t better than your standard garden salad you could get at Publix.

Ambiance is cool.

Service was ok. The plates were never cleared, the drink orders came out slow. We had 6 adults and a baby and it was $190 before tip. I’d suggest spending that at huntsmen or somewhere else instead of here, you’ll get more bang for your buck.

Very disappointing experience.

Visited this establishment on Saturday, 3/14 with a party of four. We arrived around 12:10 PM, were seated, and ordered a bread basket for the table. Around 12:30 PM we placed our drink and entrée orders.

For the next 45 minutes we waited with no communication from our server about the status of our food. Meanwhile, several larger parties on the patio who were seated after us began receiving their meals. During this time, our waiter never returned to check on us, refill water, or provide any update.

Around 1:13 PM, after still receiving no food or communication, we asked our waiter where our order was and mentioned that we had been waiting a long time while other tables were being served. I then got up to find a manager to discuss the situation.

When I approached the individual who was “acting as the manager” and asked if he was the manager, his response was “Depends on the question.” This was an immediate red flag and not an appropriate way to respond to a customer concern.

He came to our table and confirmed our order, stating that the ticket showed the food had been put in at 1:13 PM, which was inaccurate considering we ordered around 12:30 PM. We explained that we had already been waiting roughly 45 minutes, but instead of addressing the experience or the lack of communication, the focus seemed to be only on getting the food out.

Our food finally arrived around 1:28 PM.
After finishing our meal, the check was presented with no acknowledgment, apology, or adjustment for the delay or poor service experience. When we asked the manager if any adjustment would be made due to the situation, he again referenced the ticket saying the food was brought out within 20 minutes, which did not reflect what actually happened.

I explained that this response felt like deflection and dismissal of our experience rather than accountability. He offered a credit for a future visit, which we declined since we were visiting from out of town and would not be returning.

As he walked away, he returned sarcastically asking, “Did you put those reviews in yet?” He later claimed the waiter told him additional information and then offered 25% off the check, but by that point the lack of professionalism and empathy had already defined the experience.

This situation was handled poorly from start to finish. The delay was frustrating, but the lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism from management made it far worse.

Unfortunately, this experience alone is enough to deter me from ever returning or recommending this establishment.

Great service. Our server Will was awesome. So quick to accommodate us and is absolutely hilarious. Great food recommended the lamb which was amazing. If you haven’t been to the Monroe and asking Will to be your server you’re seriously missing out. 10/10 I can’t wait to go back next week. They made a new regular to this restaurant with how great this experience is.

I came here for the first time with family to have brunch while visiting Tallahassee, and I will not come back to this restaurant ever. We had the table reserved at around 12:05 and then put in the orders for our food around 12:30. We then proceeded to wait an hour for our food, watching everyone after us get their food. My cousin had to approach a worker to alert them about our issue. Our server apparently didn't enter our orders immediately after taking them, only entering them at 1:13. Once we got our food, which was good, at around 1:20-1:30 we were not accommodated for the hour long wait. The man that we had to approach, who wasn't the manager and didn't give his name, then proceeded to gaslight us and didn't believe our story, often referencing to the time our ticket was processed. However, he was quick to promise an accommodate price for our next visit, which is not the point at all! The restaurant took no accountability whatsoever and did not take our words seriously, only wanting to sweep our experience under the rug.

The Monroe is a vibe. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and live music. We enjoyed yummy, shareable appetizers. Our server, Emily, provided phenomenal service and gave us tasty recommendations. Will be back soon!

This was my first visit, and I had a mixed experience. The hostess seemed a bit unwelcoming. However, the bar staff were absolutely wonderful and made my visit much more enjoyable. I would consider stopping by again while visiting Tally. Hopefully, the initial greeting will be warmer next time.

The Monroe is all about the vibe. Warm and modern, with high ceilings and that effortless indoor-outdoor flow that makes the whole place feel like one big lounge. Whether you’re at the bar, outside, or tucked into a table inside, it’s a great spot to meet up, catch up, and stay awhile.

We ordered a spread. The chicken bites were perfect for grazing, the Gambas were delicious, and the Monroe flatbread with steak added was solid and easy to share. The oysters (Rockefeller and garlic herb) were good, but not particularly memorable. The entrees were just average - nothing spectacular. It didn’t quite live up to expectations. The shrimp bucatini was a bit dry and lacked flavor, the short ribs were overcooked, and while the duck confit itself was tender, the risotto felt a little too heavy.

Honestly, this is a place that shines with drinks and shareables. Come with friends, order a bunch of small plates, and settle in for the atmosphere. The food is good enough but the vibe is the real reason you’re here.

Helpful info: Come early or make reservations. The place was completely packed by 6 p.m. on a Saturday. Self-parking is limited, so most people use the complimentary valet or the overflow lot.

We’ve been to this restaurant several times before and it used to be an amazing experience, great service, great food, and overall a great night out. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite, and it feels like the service has gone downhill since they first opened.

We had a reservation for five at 6:45 PM and were seated on the patio. It took over an hour just to get our appetizers, which were simply bread. Our waiter rarely came by and we had to flag her down anytime we needed something, as she wouldn’t come to our table otherwise.

Our dinner didn’t start arriving until around 9:15 PM, and that was only after we talked to the managers. Even then, some food was still missing by 9:30, and after waiting nearly three hours to eat, none of us were hungry anymore. We ended up asking for everything to be boxed up to go so we could leave.

The managers were very apologetic, but it seemed like many tables around us were experiencing the same delays, even though the restaurant didn’t appear very busy. Hopefully this was just an off night!

My husband made reservations for 7:45 this past Saturday. We arrived 2 minutes early. There was a man at the check in desk we later learned was the owner. One look at us and he sent us to another young lady at the desk to check us in. We watched him for over 20 minutes address other patrons and promising a table shortly. After 30 minutes we checked on our reservation. The owner was extremely rude and said he was tired and offered no apology for failing to accommodate our reservation. He pandered to many other patrons who were not of our hue and dismissed us arrogantly and rudely. He reluctantly offered us a table that was all of sudden available. We declined and went elsewhere. After reading the reviews, I’m glad we didn’t eat there. I hate to think it was because we were black. But his actions toward other patrons versus us lead us to no other opinion.

Will was a great Server! Food came fast! Drinks very good! Omelet was not the best I had. Onions were not grilled as mentioned on menu. Grits not so cheesy and bland. Pimento balls-very good!

Traveling home from a work conference we decided to stop here for a bite to eat. If I am ever in the Tallahassee area again, I will not be giving this place another try. We arrived at 12:40 pm and even though there were open tables we had a 20-30 minute wait. Upon sitting down it took almost 15 minutes to get 2 Diet Coke and 2 lattes. We then ordered and it took a full hour to get our meals. During that time we had no one check on us or provide an update on why there was such a delay. We stopped someone to find out and were told it was coming out in a few moments. Our food arrived about 15 minutes later. The meal was fine, but nothing phenomenal. We asked for our checks while we were still eating because we wanted to get back on the road. The waiter brought one check as we were finishing up. We asked for him to provide separate checks and he returned with our checks split 2 ways for 4 people. We had to ask again for him to separate them and were provided a discount to our meals for the inconvenience. We handed him our bills and cards immediately to expedite the process. The waiter returned with our checks, but not any of our cards. He apologized and went back inside and 10 minutes later came back with them. He had not run a single one of our cards the first time he came out. While I understand that a server is not responsible for how long a kitchen takes to bring food, it is their job to keep you informed. It is also the job of a good manager to check on these situations and ensure things are made right. After 2 hours we were able to get back on the road again. There was nothing phenomenal about this place and none of us are interested in ever going back. Especially if it takes 2 hours for a basic sandwich to be prepared and served.
