Literally the best place I’ve ever been to first time in Tallahassee 10 out of 10 recommended. It was so good. Got the turkey sub and waffle and they had the rare cherry Coke Celsius 10 out of 10 recommended

Sweet shop is, unfortunately, a campus staple. With prime location like that facing Landis Green, you know whoever takes up that lease is going to be a superstar. Sadly, the people that did don’t do anything phenomenally, per say. It’s an undoubtably historical monument in regards to the food and drink scene in Tallahassee. However, having a tenured status, doesn’t translate to delicious food. Stop by, maybe try one of their 100 menu items (excluding drinks). The character of the interior will charm you, the customer service will alarm you, and you’ll be left thinking, “If only this tasted a little better.”

These guys are so goated I love them so much. Where can you get a gyro that good for like 8 bucks? Nowhere except the sweet shop. God bless America, God bless the sweet shop

The shop's abhorrent responses to these reviews speak for themselves. It's to the point where you should be scared to ask about an order mistake or a simple mixup, because they WILL yell at you and accuse you of stealing or something. I attached just one example of rudeness and direct contradiction as an example, but there's so many more. This is no way to manage a business. The owner's treatment of the customers and employees puts shame on the sweet shop's historic name.

Today, I was at Sweet Shop when an angry customer threw a drink in the face of the owner. The customer was yelling and causing a scene from an alleged grievance that I do not know about. However, what I can say is how calm and professional the staff and owner were. I have been to the Sweet Shop Cafe for many years, and was really impressed with how well the staff were able to hold their composure during a high-tension event.

If I can give negative stars I would .. the owner is the rudest man I’ve ever encountered. I walked in as a mom of a new student and heard him cursing at a young lady who was his customer. She only asked for some chai flavor in the chai latte and he screams and cursed at her that it has no chai even though it says CHAI LATTE above all the flavors. Well I applaud her because she screamed back at him not to disrespect her and he needs to learn customer skills. I would NEVER go this place again as that is how he treats students and made a point to tell my child to never go there… very disappointed that students have to endure that kind of treatment!!

Small business at its finest. I the owner kept the restaurant open for a few extra minutes while I ordered. When I added some fresh strawberries to my order he just included them and said no charge. All day breakfast sandwiches were fabulous. So convenient for the students.

Minutes (3 PM). All their signs say 5 PM. To make it worse, The guy behind the counter is uncouth and unpleasant.

My favourite restaurant in all of Tallahassee. Hands-down the best and friendliest owner if you look up for your phone for 0.2 seconds to thank him genuinely. I've known him since ~12 years ago and he would always hand-deliver food across the street in summer camps, and we'd always say hi after camps ended. He cares about the food and the regulars. He's remembered my name and face for years. A great and quiet environment to study or have a small gathering of friends. The food is good quality for a college hangout spot, and the staff are friendly if you're feeling up to talking. My family will always come back to the Sweet Shop :)
