Kinda disappointed. Ordered online. Half the orders were messed up. Added tomatoes to a burrito I specifically asked for no tomatoes. Burrito with no chicken just beans. Not a shock this place if filling for bankruptcy.

I remember trying Tijuana Flats for the first time some years ago. The chips were a lock! Loved the seasoning!
Thought I’d go for their Taco Tuesday special today. Two tacos, chips and a drink for $6.99. Added Queso for $2. Ended up spending about $11 after a tip.
It was okay. Tacos were decent quality. Comparable to a local Mexican restaurant. Queso was flavorful, but kinda thin. Wasn’t impressed with the chips. They had no flavor. Where did the seasoning go? Was really looking forward to some queso with those delicious chips I remember having before.

I didn't expect the walk up and order from the register experience. Okay, whatever, I got through it. They were awfully nice, if perhaps slow in delivering my food to our table. My sister got hers right away, and mine took an additional 10 minutes, when we ordered the exact same thing at the same time. The salsa for the chips was bland, I'm guessing because it was made earlier, which one would expect, but then refrigerated, which one should never do to tomatoes. It kills the flavor. The tacos I got were alright. Not great, but okay. I like their 3-sided hot sauce bar, with all of the different options. It would have been great if each hot sauce had some kind of heat reference and flavor profile, instead of having to guess based on a name like "Don't Be a Chicken Sh*t" and "MoFo'n hot or something, I forgot the entire name. MoFo'n sticks in my mind as a great name for anything at a family friendly restaurant. They had beer, which was a win! All in all, eh, I just expected more.
Parking: Plenty of parking.
Kid-friendliness: Kids will do just fine here.

So I love Tijuana Flats a ton. However visited the Village square location on Saturday 7/7/2024 and was greeted and promptly had my order taken. I first noticed a differ amount charged to my card then on my receipt which happened to work out to by 10 dollars which the hostess could not explain why. Then our food finally came out and tasted ok but something was a little off only had a few bites and decided to take the rest home. Since 10 last night my date and I have been using the restroom non-stop and felt terrible. Oh and I’m disputing that charge.

This restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, a fun atmosphere, and good food. I recommend their cheese dip, it's as good as chipotle cheese dip, but a different flavor profile. All of the hot sauces make this place great, they're free too btw. Just get chips and cheese dip.

This location is terrible. The customer service is bad and they got my order wrong. Complained and the manager just ignored me. Won’t ever come back to this location again. Much better tacos around town for way cheaper.

During a recent road trip stop in Tallahassee, while waiting for our Tesla to charge, my husband and I went to try Tijuana Flats for a late lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised! I opted for the shrimp bowl, accompanied by tortilla chips and an unsweetened tea, while my husband enjoyed the steak crispy tacos. Both meals were flavorful, fresh, and just what we needed to refuel for the road ahead. What sets this place apart, besides its convenient location (perfect for a quick stop if you're charging your vehicle), is the impressive selection of Mexican hot sauces. The variety available is fantastic, catering to all preferences, whether you favor mild and flavorful or hot and spicy. The self-serve hot sauce bar allows you to customize your meal to your liking, adding an enjoyable, personalized touch to the dining experience. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, with vibrant decor that adds to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The staff was friendly and efficient, making our brief visit a memorable one. For anyone looking for a quick, tasty, and satisfying meal, I highly recommend Tijuana Flats in Tallahassee. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot is definitely worth a visit!
