Why are the employees making such a simple process of placing an order and then the customer getting it to go so difficult?

Getting food takes forever because the employees are intentionally only having 1-2 orders being made at a time, meanwhile 5 people walked in and subsequently walked out because they were ignored. I observed the same in the drive thru where a single car was at the window, meanwhile one car waiting to take their order and 4 cars lined up behind them and all other cars pulled into the drive thru, saw the line was stagnant, and simply left

The guy in the Drive-Thru in the morning is always super nice and always polite. It's a shame that all restaurants don't hire more people who act like he does. People are sick and tired of the rude behavior in restaurants who are now paying higher prices for food to eat. McDonald's on Monroe Street near Wendy's has the rudest people working there that I have ever seen in my lifetime. Wendy's is where I go for breakfast, 2 for 3 bucks. Sausage and biscuits and potatoes are good and the price is great. They seem to run out of biscuits a lot, but other than that, it's a great way to start the day. If you want to be greeted by someone sweet and nice, go to Wendy's in the morning. If you want to be greeted by a rude person in the Drive-Thru window handling your order and food then stop at the McDonald's by the Wendy's. Good luck and I know I'll be at Wendy's for my breakfast.

I bought the frosty key chain and a 6 piece nugget tonight. They forgot to give me the key chain and the frosty. When I asked for them, the cashier said the machine was down! I bit the nugget and it was cold, chewy and not thoroughly cooked. I took it inside. I was the only customer at the counter. There was one gentleman sitting in the dining room. I think told the lady the issue and she got the manager. When the manager saw the nugget, she said what is that, it’s not supposed to look like that. 12 minutes later, I asked a younger male to ask the manager if I could come back the next day. Neither responded,
A few minutes later, the male gave me the nuggets in my hand..

You’ll wait 20 mins with 1 person in front of you in the drive through and still not have your order taken

By far the worst staff and location in Tallahassee. I think its just the night staff , because Ive been during the day and the quality is much better. But the night staff always get things wrong , are not paying attention , and slow! Even Before the renovation it was BAD and still is BAD. Took about 30 minutes in the drive thru tonight when there was only 2 other cars in front of us. Ive noticed they do one order at a time. They will not take your order while they are cashing out another customer they will make you sit and wait. Didnt receive a chicken sandwich for my daughter & they got the sauces wrong. Food is cold and gross. If you are looking for a good Wendys in town this is not the one. Go to Capital Circle NE

Do better! People are spending their money and it’s your job to give them what they are paying for! I went there 30 minutes ago .. my nuggets were thrown in the bag .. the fries were cold and dried up.. even the chili was lukewarm no spoon or crackers ..if I’m paying for hot fresh food that’s what I want .. get it together! Take pride in what you do ..I didn’t have any business eating there anyways and will NOT be back!

Guy on the drive through today around 1:15 was awesome. Really nice and they were moving fast. I've worked fast food before and you can tell when it's a well oiled machine.

I sat in your drive thru at your speaker for 17 mins before they took my order then the girl taking the order was sooo beyond rude and very unprofessional, she has no name tag on but she has a rose tattoo on right side of her neck and the letter k on her left side. The food was not correct and cold. 3 cars pulled out of your drive thru because it took so long. Is this how your company does their paying guest? It's so ridiculous the price we pay for our food so you can pay your rude incompetent employees and still can't get good hot food.

By far the worst fast food location I’ve ever been through, and I shouldn’t have given them as many chances as I did. They were close to my work, however, so I was probably a bit more patient than I should have been.

On at least two occasions, I have pulled up to the drive thru to have no response; I always use the Wendy’s in-app ordering though, and they never disable the drive thru pick-up option on their app during these extremely frequent closing times. So I have no way of knowing that their drive through will be closed. These drive thru closing times are extremely unpredictable, but appear to be mostly based around breakfast, lunch, and dinner shift changes. I’ve experienced it around 5:30 pm and 1:00-3:00 pm. But it’s a FAST FOOD place, where people generally are running by to grab a quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner through the drive thru. So they close at the drive thru at what should be their busiest times, and I’ve seen three or four cars backed up to a no-response speaker. On a third occasion, someone at least responded to the drive-thru to tell me in was closed, and I needed to walk in to pickup the order; and while I was annoyed, I was able to.

On another day, they had run out of an item in my mobile order, and the employee was curt, telling me I’d have to message the app for a refund if I wanted my money back; but their app doesn’t let you just easily request a refund, they have limited customer service hours, and I never did receive compensation. It was only a 2 dollar item, and I let it slide when I shouldn’t have. At other Wendy’s locations and similar businesses, I’ve had staff offer me a replacement item of similar value, such as a cookie, extra nuggets, a small fry, etcetera, when they can’t fulfill my entire order, so I don’t know why staff at this location are not trained to better handle situations like these.

Today was my last straw, however, as trying to go by around 3:00pm to pick up an in-app order for the drive thru had someone respond that the drive thru was closed, and they were then condescending and rude when I mentioned I had ordered in the app to pick up through drive thru; except I wasn’t capable of easily walking into the lobby because of a recent ankle sprain. That’s why I placed an order, which was accepted by the app, for pickup *in drive thru* - I needed to pick up *in drive-thru*. I did not pick up this order, and thankfully was able to cancel in the app before it registered my arrival. So disrespectful to any potentially injured, disabled, or elderly customers. I understand needing to close a drive-thru (sometimes at least, the rate this location closes their drive thru tells me they are extremely poorly managed); but don’t accept drive-thru orders if you can’t fulfill them the way a customer may need.

If they are going to constantly close their drive thru, they need to stop accepting in-app orders for the drive thru. I’ve been to other Wendy’s locations and other fast food places that will sometimes disable the in-app drive thru option when they need to close the window.

TL;DR: Horribly managed location with rude, poorly trained employees. If you want Wendy’s, the Apalachee location seems to be better managed. If you are on N. Monroe, go to Culver’s, Arby’s, just anywhere but here. I’ll never patronize this location again, and I regret every second chance I gave them. Shame on me for hoping they could change for the better.

As other people have said, I've been 5 times in drive threw and each time they have said I'd have to go inside to order. With baby in car is very inconvenient. It's one reason why we try to go through drive-thru. It's been an issue, already the new building built and driving over the driveway entrance is a huge bump. And to go through drive-thru and be told you can't order you can't go back around very easily. And one if you can actually talk over income you can take my order. I've worked the fast food industry and did multiple positions. Nobody goes out their work ethic anymore

I would rate the food here, but I can’t because you cannot place an order at the drive through at 5 pm. I can see employees inside, I sat at the drive through for about 10 minutes waiting for service. This location needs new management.

This place is filthy. Old grease stains smeared into the concrete that goes into the side door that you cannot open. Windows need to be washed. Drink machine has drink splatter all in it and stained inside. The touch screen was nasty with chunks of food or snot smeared all over it. Floors were dirty and slick. Staff was having an argument loud enough to draw attention. Drive thru didn’t work, which forces you to reverse out of it. Why no sign? Worthy of noting is that the building was just rebuilt but the staff treats it like it’s been around for decades. Lastly, the old lady who helped us was very nice. They need work.
