I visited 220 East last night while spending an evening on Davis Islands. I decided to stop in because the menu looked appealing and the place seemed busy. While the service was good, the same can’t be said for the food.
My friend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, which he said was mediocre at best and we were both surprised that the only pasta options were angel hair or bowties. We also shared some wings. The chicken itself wasn’t great, but the sweet Thai chili sauce was delicious.
I ordered a spicy margarita that was so hot it actually burned my lips. The waiter mentioned that the bartender isn’t consistent with how they make the spicy margaritas and doesn’t always realize how intense they can get. That’s unfortunate, because in the restaurant industry, consistency is key.

Prices were much higher than online prices. Not busy at all but service was very slow. Took a very long time to get our food. Food was good though.

Probably the worst Pizza i ever had.
The salad was also below average made with no taste ( over ripped strawberry)and terrible dressing.

Surprisingly, good food! We just went there based on the website photos, and the ambience was not anything like what the photos were suggesting. Service was very good and food was good as well, but the ambience was not much more than a bar. These photos may not look the best because the poor lighting..

Got dropped off by the river taxi and walked over to this place for lunch. Nothing spectacular about this place, but the food we ordered sufficed for our hunger.

They made a nice comeback after Milton. So glad to see Black Tie Affair back on the menu. Shrimp, andouille, fresh mushrooms over pasta. So delicious. The drunken shrimp appetizer was equally good. The sauce is incredible. Had a few rum cocktails along the way. Quite the neighborhood mom and pop kinda place.

Great food, service, and prices! Parking is usually pretty full, and you have to park around the corner or lots behind.

We stopped in here to eat on a busy night this past Saturday there was a market going on outside. But the servers were very nice and we were able to sit down quickly with my family. The bacon avocado chicken sandwich was great and my son had a steak which was also great. The service was good and the place was really enjoyable to eat at.

This place is a dump- an embarrassment to the restaurant community. As a Tampa native this is the worst place I have eaten. We were invited to a last minute party on Davis Island and needed somewhere to eat and couldn’t get into a REAL restaurant on short notice. We ordered chicken fingers as a snack and was appalled that even a lowly sports bar would serve frozen chicken fingers. There were hardly any other people there and that is always a red flag. Get your act together or just sell it to someone who knows how to run a restaurant. Even McDonalds has a deep fryer! No restaurant should ever serve frozen reheated food.

Just your neighborhood type of place with great food. On the night we went they had limited menu due to still recovering from the storm. Had the grilled Monterey chicken sandwich and it was awesome.

Davis Islands Haunt
Probably unknown to people who are not on Davis Islands, a convivial restaurant with great cheeseburgers and a baked brie. Worth crossing the bridge for an inexpensive, but good meal.
