Two thumbs up for Niki's Smashburger. Love the vibes. Service is top tier. Bottomless mimosas are flowing.

we have to get up 4 times to find our server . My side salad had no dressing , so after a 10 minute wait i just ate it without dressing . The bread was very hard . My daughter ordered a second wine , so did my wife and my wife was given my daughter wine vis versa and it end up that my daughters wine was the wrong one . Next our table was never cleared with all the empty glass 7 to be accurate . Finally the bill had to be chased down and we left 1/2 of my daughter food since no one was around for a take out box . David cannot be the owner today because he would die if under his watch

I just attempted to get a table at 220 East on Davis Island . We eat there regularly generally about once a week. All the two hostesses could say tonight is we have a 20 minute wait . We responded that's fine can we have a drink while we're waiting. the only response was we have a 20 minute wait with the implication please leave . Well they got their way we left.

220 East is a culinary haven that effortlessly marries innovation and tradition, crafting an unforgettable dining experience that lingers on the taste buds. As you step inside, the elegant yet welcoming ambiance sets the stage for a journey through diverse flavors. The menu is a tribute to locally-sourced ingredients, celebrating them with creative dishes that defy expectations. The "Roasted Beet Salad" is a work of art, uniting sweet and earthy flavors, while the "Braised Short Ribs" are a tender, savory delight. The wine selection is a thoughtfully curated complement to the cuisine. 220 East is more than a restaurant; it's a culinary adventure where food becomes a testament to craftsmanship, and each visit is a voyage through the finest traditions of American cuisine, making it a must-visit for anyone in search of an extraordinary and uniquely flavorful dining experience.

Even though it's under new ownership, it's absolutely the same old place and we still have Nui cooking the amazing dishes he developed in the kitchen. Don't be afraid to ask for off menu items. Some of our favorites from the last 25 years are no longer on the menu but they are certainly there if you ask! Maybe our favorite place in Tampa Bay

I have been here for dinner on several occasions, and only once have I had good service. After last night of getting served my drinks, that was the last time I saw my waitress until I was ready to leave. Couldn’t get a second glass of anything to drink with my meal.

Seated outside and was astonished with the number of kids that were running around the tables of other patrons (ours included), screaming at the top of their lungs. Literally two dozen kids and they were definitely outnumbering the adults by a lot. Surprised management didn't step in, as it was so loud, it was impossible talk from across the table of a very small 2-top. Like nothing I've ever experienced before...kids were allowed within inches behind your chair, as they scootered by screaming. Was looking forward to a relaxing casual alfresco late dinner and this couldn't have been anything further from that. Food was fine...pretty standard. Had ordered the grouper sandwich, and the waitress came back to deliver the bad news that they had just run out. Understandable as it was already later in the evening. Arguably past these kids bedtimes. The Cuban sandwich was good though.
