4 Rivers is such a great BBQ place. It's my top place to go when I'm in the area and if I was closer it would be dangerous as I'd be here every day. Not only is the food so fantastic it's their bakery as well. I typically get the Texas Destroyer sandwich which has pulled brisket, provolone, jalapenos, and onion rings which is like tasting a bit of food Jesus himself would eat. As well as Mac and cheese and burnt ends. Ohhhhh so good. The bakery has a bit of everything from cookies to cakes to whoopie pies. Everything is phenomenal. Just go try it and see for yourself.

I love everything here except for their Mac n cheese it's kinda bland but mixed w the beans mmmmm !!! No doubt one of my favorite spots and I always crave when they are closed on Sundays lol go figure !

Pretty decent BBQ place in Tampa, FL! Their price for BBQ and for the portion was pretty spectacular. I was full at the end of it! I got the beef brisket (lean and moist) with the pulled pork. The 2 sides I got were Collard Greens, which was so flavorful and it came with pieces of meat, and a salad (to balance it out haha). The beef brisket was the best part. I'm glad I got the lean and moist pieces. It just tasted so juicy and added with their BBQ sauce... perfection. The pulled pork was a little dry to me but you could always top it off with the bbq sauces. However, the portion sizes are great compared to the prices. With bbq places, it's a hit or miss but this one was a hit. I would recommend this place if you're in the Tampa area for BBQ.

Vegan burnt ends sandwich Sweet iced tea Mac n cheese Crispy creme bread pudding Honestly, every single thing (yes, even the vegan burn ends sandwich) was delicious here! And the fact a BBQ spot also has good vegan options is insane in itself. Everything was delicious and even though my stomach was not happy with me, I finished it all in one sitting. Sweet iced tea wasn't overly sweet. Mac n cheese was creamy and a perfect portion of pasta to cheese. The vegan burnt ends - I couldn't even tell the difference between OG burnt ends and the vegan option. The crispy creme bread pudding is a winner and worth all the hype (I'm not a bread pudding fan, and this place hit it). So go and enjoy! You are welcome.

Worst service ever! Food not worth the price. Fried okra came out burnt to a crisp with my wife's cold brisket. Took back for more they forgot to bring to table. After waiting 20 minutes for my order went to counter they had forgot to even start cooking it. Had them refund my money didn't have time to wait longer! Won't be back!

Let just start off by saying that this place has the best bbq o have found in Tampa so far! Also they are the only place I have seen burnt ends at as well that are so delicious! We stopped in because my son saw the sign out his window and wanted the kids hotdog from 4 Rivers which was great because my husband & 8 had no idea what we wanted to eat. We walked in and the place wasn't a busy as I was expecting which was nice because their was no line. I had never been to this location but it is Way bigger than south Tampa that they even have a bakery separate from the bbq section. We started to order right away I always get the 2x2 but this time I did it with burnt ends and chicken my son got the famous hotdog he had wanted and oh yeah for sides baked beans are a must and the Mac and cheese is all the right cheese and Mac combined. We picked a table and grabbed our drinks and I sat the whole experience was great the food was and still is amazing every time we eat it Now for the best topic of the night Desserts!! No I'm kidding it's the service!! Max who helped us at the bakery won kids hearts over, such amazing service and Thank you so much for the great hospitality!

This restaurant has the potential to be 5 star all the time I believe but my 1st and only visit there I just wasn't happy when I walked out. I will say 1st it looks very clean and that was welcoming. Is the staff that interacted with me at the counter ordering my food was also very welcoming. I got the messy pig sandwich and their food is served on kind of a classic barbecue house metal tray.. The name of the sandwich is messy pig however I really did not want to see the food especially the meat fall off to sandwich On to the tray. I'm not sure why the food is served like this who wants to eat food off of a dirty tray. Eating the sandwich is where I was really disappointed the flavors were there but is there but the meat was just above cold. I was thinking maybe it's supposed to be served cold old then why would I have a little bit of heat on it. I don't know I just don't have the willpower to send food back unless it's really bad anymore. This is a restaurant that also makes remarks about great service, so they should be on point. The quesadilla was good and their sauce was just as flavorful. It's like I said the flavors were there but with the little notes posted about quality of service that they do around the restaurant it needs to be spot on everytime, take care best wishes.

Vegan burnt ends were amazing! So grateful for this option at a BBQ place! The vegan BBQ sauce is delicious as well. I am almost always so sad after going to a BBQ place as my family all eat the meat and meat flavored side dishes. I was surprised to see a vegan option but also a little scared. It tasted amazing!!! Smoky and delicious. So good! I will definitely go back!

Favorite BBQ place!!! Nothing negative to say here, other than they need more locations!!! The food is fantastic, the prices are great, and the staff is very helpful. We live across town, yet we have to have 4 Rivers at least once a month. Please open more locations in Oldsmar or Clearwater!!

Updating my review again for this establishment. Tonight I was in the mood for barbecue and I went to one of my faithful spots. I ordered pulled chicken, ribs and 2 half pounds of burnt ends. When I arrived home, I noticed I had 1 carton of pulled chicken, 1 carton of burnt ends and ribs. I called the store to advise one of my orders was missing and Kevin (representative for the store) stated all orders of the same item are consolidated into 1 container. After looking at the container, it was not a pound of meat. I'm disappointed in their take out service and I hope they improve. For anyone interested in doubt take out, make sure you ask to check the bag before it is stapled!

Their bbq is to meet the demand of the general public by having meats that aren't seasoned very well. They make up for it by having some great sauces to jump the flavor up. They do make good pairings with their side items like tacos or sandwiches but if they had an option for more serious bbq flavor enthusiasts they would be amazing.
