Had a terrible experience with Affordable Catering in Tampa. I worked with an employee to create a detailed quote for our wedding catering and bar service that we were happy with, and then a few months later, their catering manager called to tell me basically all the substitutions and add-ons were incorrectly priced and they would not honor our contract. It's actually written into the contract, "Affordable Catering is not responsible for salesperson errors," so they can basically promise you the world and then deliver on none of it. I initially didn't even know I was working with a "salesperson", I thought our first contact would be who we worked with the entire time up to our wedding! I was deeply disappointed and we ended up cancelling our contract and working with a different caterer.

About a month before the wedding they changed the contact person as Jennifer left the company. This cause a great deal of stress in me due to the fact that when I spoke with Maria she seemed that she did not have a clue if what I was talking about, regarding all the menu and specifics, I had already discuss with Jennifer and changed completely the quote adding a good $800 extra to quote.Come wedding day, first, I had nice matching silverware and the team decided to put the metal silverware next to the silver wear. Here the common sense was not used. This clashed with the decor. I remember mentioning to put the silverware next to the food so if people wanted to use those instead of the ones in the table they had the choice.Secondly, the caesar salad had bacon on it and it was pre-made. Once again, I was very explicit about not wanting pork in the menu. Half of my family ended not been able to eat the salad and I found this so annoying as I paid almost $2,400 for the services.Third, the head server approach me at some point of the wedding to ask me about the services and I told her how I was feeling and told her 'not great'. To this day NOBODY from this company has reached out to me for feedback.Needless to say they won't have my business nor recommendation in the future.Lastly, keep in mind it has been almost a full year of my wedding and I still feel strongly about it all.

From set up, to serving,to break down and cleaning, they were timely, friendly and respectful. They even interacted with the children that were in attendance, which was pretty cool. Don’t use their services for breakfast/brunch. I just had my wedding yesterday, a brunch wedding on a beautiful farm, and the food was embarrassing. When we went for a tasting, we only got to try their evening menu, so we had no idea what the brunch menu would look or taste like. The night of our tasting, we met with the sales manager. He was extremely friendly and offered to add chicken and waffles to our menu at no charge. When it was time to finalize things, he sent me an email with the menu and charged me for the chicken and waffles. I questioned him, and he said how was he supposed to remember that he talked to us about that. How about right it down. I should have asked for it in writing instead of trusting his word. The waffles looked like Eggo brand, the thin round ones, that were thawed out and soggy. The chicken looked and felt microwaved. The biscuits were dry and stale. A lot of my guests made fun of the biscuits and said they couldn’t even swallow it was so bad. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, and the food at the continental breakfast was 1000 times better. I don’t blame the staff at the wedding who provided service. A chef can only do so much when he is working with poor quality food. The staff who were at my wedding were AMAZING! So sweet and attentive. They asked us what we wanted to take home from leftovers and packaged it all up for us. These specific people deserve 5 stars.

The wow factor was just how delicious the food was and the service. Ice and Gladys were our professional set up/break down servers.
