Great food overall. Arguably the best house salad I’ve had at this type of restaurant.

Absolutely loved our experience at Ahi Asian Bistro in Carrollwood! We started with the crispy spring rolls and flavorful dumplings — the perfect intro to what turned into a seriously delicious meal. The shrimp with avocado in tamarind sauce was next-level amazing, and the massive sushi boat was both a showstopper and packed with fresh flavor.

We also tried the stir-fried eggplant, Panang curry, and wrapped it all up with Thai fried ice cream and donuts — every bite was a hit.

The service was outstanding — super friendly and made us feel right at home. Don’t leave without asking for the Roger sauce — it’s customizable from mild to hot-hot 🔥 and seriously addictive.

They’ve got a couple of unique Asian beers, and I highly recommend the Thai tea. Before you head out, make sure to check out the amazing murals on the walls — there are hidden images worked into the artwork (hint: there are 3 to find!).

This spot is a gem — can’t wait to go back!

Wow...I've now found a place that is both my new favorite sushi bar and new favorite Thai restaurant in one! I can't remember having such fresh tuna in years. My husband loved his rolls and the unique options - he had a roll with I think squid and octopus. Don't see that much. He also had his uni which I can't even look at but a lot of places don't have that often. As far as Thai - I had the basil duck which was delicious. Went last Saturday and I'm going back again today. The owner and sushi chef were really personable and fun and the rest of the staff was great. There seemed to be a lot of very devoted regulars which says something. You really need to try this spot and sit at the sushi bar to chat with the chef for added enjoyment.

Ahi Asian Bistro is where I go when I want comfort food! Their fried shrimp with avocado & tofu Panang are my favs. The sushi is always a step above any other in our area. But the staff & owner make the experience perfect! They are all so gracious & welcoming! And their Thai Tea is delish!

Really good food and service. Fried rice is a smash! Their flattop is well seasoned and you taste it in the rice. Sushi pieces are big also. I'm plant based and the rolls were some of the larger I've seen. I would eat here again.
