Melissa at Alessi bakery did such an amazing job on my daughter‘s birthday cake. I provided a general Vision and she created a beautiful masterpiece. My daughter requested an almond cake with raspberry and it was
delicious.

Been here over 100 years, should be here another 100. Cubans are amazing. Bought some pastries that are magnificent. Nothing bad here.

The cashier (actually the order taker where you order cooked food) was rude, short and unhelpful.

We used ALESSI Bakery for our wedding desserts, from our gorgeous and delicious wedding cake to our Italian cookies, cannolis, and so much more treats. All were soooo delish. When having a wedding with almost everyone coming from NJ, it is super important the dessert station is top tier and it truly was! Thank you for delivering top tier service as well Jazmine Figueora. Jazmine was kind, patient, helpful, we could go on! Thanks again!

100+ year old neighborhood bakery! Super friendly folks and their goods are worth the drive. Forgot to take photos while we were there because we were too busy shopping. Cuban sandwich was delicious; the marzipan sweets were on-point, and the flan was perfecto. Don't get me started on the Cuban coffee. 💯 Will have to actually buy some bread next time we go, which is what we actually went there for in the first place....

I went in to buy some items for a party. They were out of all the Cuban platters so I thought that I would put together an assortment of the Christmas decorated cookies. They were almost 4 dollars Each. I asked for 30 assorted cookies and the girl proceeded to pull out small paper boxes. I explained to her that this was for a party and I asked her for one of the Disposable plastic Cake dome type containers that they put cookie arrangements into. She said that she would need to go ask somebody and then she proceeded to help other customers. The bakery manager came out from the back and then explained to me that she would need to charge me seven dollars for the container. I told her that I was about to buy over $100 worth of cookies and that I did not want to have to pay an additional charge for a container. She held firm on her demand to charge additional money for a container, so I wished her luck on selling all those cookies before they go stale and I left. I can see that Alessi is managed by shrewd business people. They have lost my business and I will never go back there.

I ordered 2 hamburger combs and it was 12 noon and I was told that they were out of burgers and also the lady was holding two raw burgers in her hand and I was told they were out of burgers got home and a friend pulled up and call alessi and ask for burger and they had some so why did the lady tell me she was out of burgers so I guess I’ll take my money somewhere else that’s very bad service if they were frozen only thing you had to do was tell me you unfreeze them and also everytime I go up there I always have a problem with the black lady that makes the burger I think she told the other lady to say they out of burgers very bad experience and I’ve been going here for over 20 years and never had to deal with this

how is it just 12 o’clock in you outta burgers like come on every time me and my husband come up here to order a burger it’s a problem and the ladies that’s behind. The counters are very rude. I’m looking at the lady in her face. She had two burgers in her hand and seen us and said that they was out of burgers you know I like to. support but I do not have to spend my money with rude people so with that being said I don’t think I would never go back to this place because I feel as if they pick and choose who they wanna deal with. didn’t even make no sense to talk to the manager

I grew up coming to this place and it’s gotten even better than it was back in the 80’s. Believe me it was great back then. This message is for anyone passing through Tampa or new to Tampa because everyone else who was raised here or lives here knows about Alessi. It’s a family owned bakery- deli serving Sicilian, Cuban and Italian goodies. I stopped by just to get a Cuban coffee to go and ended up getting a Deviled Crab Fritter. It was huge with lump crab. You’ll find all kinds of sweets, baked goods, Cuban sandwiches etc. This place is a legend in Tampa.

From the friendliness of the catering staff to the quality of the food and service, Alessi did not disappoint. We used Alessi to complement the cake at my daughter’s wedding, and our guests were raving about the mini cannolis, biscotti, and brownies. Not to mention, Alessi handled everything seamlessly, including delivery. Thank you, Alessi, for making a special day even more memorable.

What a great bakery and café! We had a Cuban sandwich and a breakfast sandwich. We also took home some cookies, bread, and pastries. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, sweets and cakes.
Update: We went back and tried more things! The turkey club is outstanding! And do yourself a favor and try out the Yoyo cookies. They are ridiculously delicious.
