My husband and I just went here for the first time and we got the Crème Brûlée bread pudding… I wanted just a taste when we got home and ended up eating the WHOLE THING. Seriously, this might be the best dessert I have ever had. We also got the buttered Cuban bread and it was incredible as well… I’m going to be dreaming about this bread pudding for the rest of my life. A MUST TRY!

We went the day before Easter so the bakery was very busy but well organized and good customer service. It was all very good, I had cuban sandwiche and my son had eggs and cheese sandwich we also had pound cake, so good, and a mini tress leches parfair, a mini pinapple upside down muffin. All of it was good and we will have to come here again when we come to Tampa.

This place used to be good. The prices are now too high, the service today was poor, it was not clean, the employees were arguing and disorganized. I haven’t been in a while but will likely not be back.

Here are some short lovely reviews about Alessi Bakery Alessi Bakery is a must-visit in Tampa...The pastries are out of this world, the desserts are fresh and top-shelf...The staff is super friendly and helpful, always with a big smile and willing to help pick out your pastries. We are so pleased with the outcome of Alessi Bakery and making our stunning wedding cake! Melissa was so easy and pleasant to work with. One of my favorite local places to stop in for a Cuban and a little treat. They always have the best booths at the Strawberry Festival and Florida State Fair! Incredibly nice employees, super comfortable indoor area.

My husband’s coworkers recommended we visit here for the pastries, but we were unfortunately underwhelmed by the quality of the baked goods. We got a peanut butter cream horn, two different turnovers, and a cinnamon stick. ALL of the items tasted and looked like they were at least a day old. The guava and cheese turnover was partially burnt and had clearly been fried in bad oil. The cream horn was bland and the filling was way too thick. We have never been the people to not finish pastries, but these were just not good. The service was just fine and there was decent parking.

Paris has the Eiffel Tower... San Francisco has the Golden Gate Bridge... and Tampa has Alessi. Well, maybe that's a little strong-but this 112-year-old (and counting) family bakery is definitely a local landmark... and a tasty one, at that. Started by Italian immigrant, Nicolo Alessi, who sold fresh bread and baked goods... it's been lovingly passed down through four generations. The shop on Cypress Street-just east of MacDill Avenue, where they've been for decades, feels homey and comforting. There are desserts to the front and right side... sandwiches to the left... and their signature scachatta pizza on tables in the center. Hope you're hungry! The level of care and pride is evident in everything they do. From the incredible variety to the exquisitely decorated cakes, the staff clearly loves what they do-and excel at it. There are dozens of cookies and pastries and other baked goods to choose from-each more beautiful than the next. You can customize your order or choose from the grab and go cases-which contain everything from rum cake to flan to wrapped platters of Italian cookies (that, Mom and I can attest-simply melt in your mouth). I hadn't been here in a few years and I was thrilled to see it was still such a cozy, welcome spot. The staff is lively and friendly and you can tell there are scads of regular customers. It was bustling on a Friday morning at 8:30 but they keep it running. There's outdoor dining out front and I'm told there's an indoor room, behind/next to the sandwich side. You don't have to take out-but my order traveled well and is still super fresh, days later. They also offer catering-and I read about a window, where you can watch the cake decorating. Sign me up! I thought the prices were fair but the parking was just a little tight. In just a few months (later in 2024), they're moving just a little bit west on Cypress-a couple of doors down-to the Tampa Letter Carriers building. I'll miss this familiar location-but the other building is bigger (and just steps away). I can't wait to see what they do with it. See you there!

I'm so excited my husband took me here when we came to visit flying from Oklahoma to Tampa and definitely glad we stopped here. Atmosphere was amazing; so many selections to choose from. The Cuban was AMAZING and one of the best Cubans I've has. When we come back I'll be trying that stuffed crab. My daughter also loved the Buffalo chicken wrap with ranch!!!
