We had been really wanting some authentic African food so, while in Tampa we stop here. We order several different items off the menu including Jollof Rice and FuFu. I had never had African food before so, I was really looking forward to it. Even though we were the only customers there it still took almost 30 minutes for us to get our food. We paid nearly $100 for all the food that we ordered and was highly disappointed. The Jollof Rice was so spicy that it was inedible. The FuFu tasted like doughy, instant potatoes so gross and wet. We were to have 3 different meats with our entrées, but what we got was 3 pieces of meat. I had goat covered in some red weird sauce that was so tough that I couldn't chew it. The plantains were so hard that they were still raw. His fried rice wasn't fried at all...just some yellow rice with vegetables and the beef was tough as bricks. Needless to say we will not be coming back and I hope that this isn't want African Food is like at other restaurants, but I'm to leary to try any other restaurant.
Very good

I’m not going to be as rude as these other folks on here but I did order the egusi with chicken and it was dry and the egusi tasted awful. I have had African food from peoples houses that was so delicious! I don’t understand why this tastes nothing like what I’m used to. Are y’all even tasting your food before you serve it? There’s really an off flavor in the egusi. Anyways hopefully you guys are taking heed to the criticism and changing a lot of things. I won’t be reordering until I see the ratings go up ??♀️
Literally some of the worst, most overpriced, unseasoned food I have ever had in my life. By the blood of Jesus y’all should be ashamed of yourselves.
Edit: Let me just leave a little update because these Mzungus, parading themselves around as if they are authentic, want to reply to my review in a manner that is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Firstly, I understand that food prices have gone up but for you to charge 23 dollars ( when your prices online are stated as lower ) for that small bland portion of what was liberally described as Ogbono soup was execrable. The meat was tough and extremely difficult to chew. And the broth quite literally almost made me vomit. I wouldn’t have anything bad to say to you if you could’ve been grown and taken the criticism at face value and done better; however you did not. So with all that being said, you and your establishment are a shining example of pulling the wool over the eyes of your customers while simultaneously ripping them off for their money. I know for a fact in the motherland that the serving sizes and quality of cuisine that you served me and my family would’ve gotten you kicked out of the village. Please go take some serious time to self reflect on your choices leading up to serving us that horrendous soup. Maybe even enroll in some culinary classes at the local community college. Then maybe I would consider feeding your food to my dog. Until then by best advice would be to please use more seasoning, and when someone takes time out of their day to critique your work, please take it with a grain of salt ( I know you are unfamiliar with the concept of salting food ). Regardless God bless, I hope you seek atonement for your sins.
Ps two soups, and a drink should not cost anyone 60 plus dollars!!!!!!!! Love you, hugs and kisses!

10 out of 10 would highly recommend. My mom wanted to try FuFu for the first time and we don't have any place around were we live to I traveled 1hr to get here . The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. She even asked what our spice tolerance was and was gonna show us how to ear it . But I kinda already had it .. ..and the food was amazing ???????

Had a taste for African food (blame my coworker), saw on Uber eats and made the 45 min drive to sit and wait another 30 to 45 minutes. The Egusi and the jollof rice was wonderful but the I couldn't eat the goat or beef (tough, and I got braces) Also the staff came off cold.. not very welcoming...

Small and quaint restaurant, but the food is big on flavor. The goat and okra soup was savory, and flavors were well balanced. Everything was hot, and the customer service was great! Set aside time to stop in, and you won't be disappointed!

The fufu was absolutely delicious! And the rum cake? to die for.I can't wait to go back and try some other food. Highly recommended for traditional west African food. Plenty of options available for vegetarians. It can be spicy! So be prepared.
