Food was trash!!! Had to send it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The drink and the entrée. And Im not a picky eater.
We had a wonderful dinner service for my husband's birthday. Nick did an amazing job of being attentive but giving us tons of space and time. 10/10
Food was mediocre at best. Bolognese tasted literally like nothing. Eggplant was breaded too heavily. Salmon was blah. Drinks were not even good. Not sure what the hype is. If you were going to charge $35 for pasta, it would be nice if you had a proper Peppermill. Will not be returning.
I went for the first time and I absolutely loved it. The servers were so attentive, food came out very fast and was delicious! Would absolutely recommend
Ava is a beautiful restaurant. The pizza was delicious and affordable. I had an apple walnut salad for like $17 and added chicken for like $8. The chicken was delicious. The salad was a bunch of greens and literally 3 apple slices and like 4 1/2 walnuts. That is not a good deal for $17. The noise level would've been fine but the hostess seated 3 adults next to two long tables of young families with many children who were all under one table at one point. I understand that kids are kids and their parents get to go out too but when that happens and there are may other tables in the restaurant open, maybe the hostess place the adults farther to a quieter place in the restaurant.
Atmosphere and service was great. Meat and cheese board did not disappoint. However, we were disappointed with the entrees. Filet was charred and not medium rare as there was no red or pink. Risotto needed more flavor or more period.
One of my favorites! Especially all of the vegan options!! The vegan pizza is amazing! Also love the wood fired veggies! Had the chunk vegan steak last night and it was delicious!!!
This exceeded expectations. My ragu pasta came out piping hot. I loved the bread service, the fried breast was (not surprisingly) delicious!
Great experience, food was spot on. Need to mix the syrup for the old fashioned was all at the bottom.
Great place food and service are outstanding. Italian items on menu are wonderful. Pizza was very good. Great place to enjoy a drink and meet people.
Restaurantji Recommends
It was not great. Went there for an espresso martini flight, they were out. They did seat us outside by the fireplace and the ambience was absolutely beautiful. Poor service (bartender did apologize but she knew service was awful as well) The crudo was so bland and tasted “off” and the strip steak was overcooked and so tough, my short ribs were pretty good though!
We're in from out of town, and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Our service was great. Don't miss an opportunity to eat at this great restaurant!
Great food. Bolognese and short rib Ragu were both outstanding. Share a salad to get side salad size. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommend this restaurant if you love Italian.
Went on Thanksgiving evening at 6:30. Server brought both salads and entrées at the same time. Then acted surprised that we wanted time to eat our salads first. When they brought our entrées back they had obviously been sitting the whole time and were lukewarm. Overall a very poor experience.
My only complaint was it took far too long before we got greeted for the level of busy when we arrived. Other than that, flawless. Meticulous. Will be going EVERY time I am in Tampa.
