I arranged a business dinner for originally 10 people. During the week the number and time changed last minute to sooner and more people. Everyone was very polite and accommodating. All of my executives were very pleased with the service, the food and the atmosphere. I will definitely be booking again. JGV
Good but wish they specified on website that happy hour is only in the bar. The good happy hour is main reason we went but then we had to pay 2x more at table
Pizza was amazing. Great options for food and drinks on the Happy Hour menu. Service was slow and it wasn't very busy.
Awesome restaurant, second time here. Came in for Father's Day dinner what a great experience. Food, service and the ambiance was superb. Parking available next to the restaurant which is convenient.
The food was pretty decent—flavorful and satisfying overall. However, the service was mediocre at best. For a place that adds a service charge and still expects a tip, I expected much more attentiveness and professionalism. Not terrible, but definitely room for improvement.
Let me start by saying avoid the bread. It was not good and they charge $12. Our appetizer which was a ravioli dish was outstanding. I had the filet (very good) but the potato that came with it was not. My wife had the pork chop to be cooked Medium Well. It was way over cooked, hard and dry. They replaced it and that was one was was very good. Staff was great, although the uniform that the female servers were wearing was degrading IMO. Skimpy to an extreme. One server dressed like she wasn't having it, which I respected. FYI I am a straight man, so if I felt this was it was way over the top. It's not Vegas it's Tampa.
Sometimes you get lucky and a new place exceeds expectations. Tonight at Ava the special was a wagu filet with mushrooms, steamed gnocchi and a Gorgonzola cream sauce. The beef was delicious with great flavor. When paired with the steamed gnocchi, the mushrooms and the Gorgonzola cream the dish was a home run. Correct that a Grand Slam. Simply the best dish I've ever had in any restaurant in Tampa and I've been to all the so called best.
Food was very good..... salad was huge & we split it & both had more than enough. Chicken parmigiana was very good & the Ravioli was rich & filling! Our server Hanna was outstanding
Happy hour specials are on point . Get the salciccia pizza and the meatballs. Also one of the few Italian restaurants that has Nero d’avola…. You’re missing it if you haven’t tried

First time diner. Not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious. Do not miss the bread service. Hot and fresh out of the oven which interesting hints of rosemary. Cara was our server and she was delightful and attentive. Highly recommend and we will certainly be back.

Ava has a great outdoor sitting. The menu options are very limited. The bread service sounded cool, but without any explanation that two large loafs will be deep-fried and shared with feta cheese in garlic, tasted good - but deep fried!!! Who fries sourdough bread just like that! The Food though pricey was just ok. The drinks are great and the Tiramisu was great!
I've been coming to Ava for 3 years & I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. It's literally my favorite restaurant in Tampa. I had Noelle yesterday & she took amazing care of me & my friend Kelly. It was Kelly's first time & it was also her birthday. She made sure my friend had a great time & we loved her. Thank you guys for always providing amazing customer service for me & my friends.
I would rate this spot a 3.5 for the entire experience. We ordered the Bruschetta, Funghi Tagliatelle and Oxtail Cassarecce. The Bruschetta bread was incredibly dry and dense with very little toasting, seemed like it was previously frozen bread that was shipped to the restaurant. Oxtail Cassarecce was actually really good, deserving of 5 stars on its own, with a generous portion of oxtail meat. The mushroom pasta was really under-seasoned and pretty bland. Even the mushrooms tasted under-salted. Unsurprisingly there was no head chef present, just a team of paisas in the kitchen. Seems like a restaurant in its death-throes before closing down, this restaurant was pretty empty while Bulla (which we will definitely try) and the green lemon were packed down the street. Oxtail pasta saved this from being a 2.5 or 3 star review.

Came here for a casual date night and it didn't disappoint. The romaine in the caeser was a little wilted and the service was a little spotty but the ambiance was pretty and our server was kind. We will be back!
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. Great customer service. The pork chop is amazing! The chef, John Liseter stopped at our table to welcome us. We surely will be coming back for another birthday celebration.
