Our large party all enjoyed their meals. I had the filet - absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Ambiance is beautiful.

All in all, it was OK. Ordered the bread tray as an appetizer and did not like it at all. It tasted more like a fried churro on the outside. Not as described on the menu. Entrees were pretty good. Can't say we were wowed by the meal.

The pasta was amazing!! The drinks were equally as good. The service did not wow me. They were not the friendliest until the checks were about to come out. The portion sizes were not consistent. My friend and I both got the short rib ragu, but she was portioned significantly more than me. Other than that, I really enjoyed Ava! I would come back.

The staff at this restaurant was very informative and professional. We reserved a private room which was phenomenal! It was so nice to be able to enjoy great food and have a atmosphere where we could hear each other in conversation. Highly recommend, and thank you again for everyone who made our visit so pleasant.

The food was good, but our service experience was disappointing. From the start, our server chloe ( going based on the name on the receipt) didn’t seem engaged with our table or make us feel welcome. After we declined drinks, there was a noticeable shift in her energy toward us.

She never asked about allergies or dietary needs, which was concerning since one of my friends has a severe celiac allergy requiring strict no cross-contact. She also didn’t seem knowledgeable about which items were safe, and when a mistake was made with my friend’s order, she didn’t apologize. Instead, another server ran the food and had to double-check with the kitchen, which left us questioning how seriously guest allergies are taken when communication is so unclear.

Although she did check in a few times, it often felt rushed and inattentive. At one point, while we were waiting for our checks, some of my friends noticed her standing around talking with other servers. When the check finally arrived, she simply placed it on the table without a word and walked away quickly, which came across as dismissive and unprofessional.

After we had our checks divided by another server, the original server returned, still without an apology. Instead, she only asked, “Who got the shareable broccoli?” even though it was clear who had ordered it. The tone felt passive-aggressive, and once again, she left us waiting to check out. We eventually noticed her standing idly at the host stand while we were ready to leave, which felt careless and frustrating.

As someone who has worked in hospitality, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. But the lack of care, poor communication, and unapologetic attitude—especially around something as serious as allergies—made the experience disappointing overall.

The food was outstanding! You just cannot beat homemade pasta! The bread was something I've never had before! Probably the best I've ever had!

The happy hour pizza hits the sweet spot! It’s just the right size for a perfect snack or to share. Plus, the weekday happy hour offers an incredible deal that you won’t want to miss. The servers here are exceptional and super friendly, making every visit a delight. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and with plenty of TVs strategically placed, you can catch all the sporting action from the best views in the house. Whether you're hanging out with friends or enjoying a solo evening, this place has it all!

Ava is an authentic Italian restaurant with a flair. The environment is very pretty and welcoming. We had a Caprese appetizer which was exquisite with a homemade soft cheese at the base (straciacella?) Delicious. We then had pasta dishes that had a wonderful depth of flavor. The cavatelli with sausage and broccoli rabe (rapini) and the pappardelle with mushrooms. So good. Service was excellent. If you are in Tampa, this place is worth a visit.

The service was just right, the menu options were very good. The pistachio espresso Martini was great. Just about the entire group wanted the Bolognese. I ordered the daily special, but will be returning to try the Bolognese. I really couldn't fault it.

A lovely experience. Three of us went for dinner Sunday evening; it was clearly a slow time there (we have been at other times that it was quite busy). Our host greeted us warmly and seated us promptly; our waiter was impeccable. All three of us ordered different things, and shared amongst ourselves; we couldn't decide which one we liked the best. The short rib ragu was outstanding; the same was true for the tagliatelle alle bolognese and the lobster special. We also ordered a side of their gnocchi. We couldn't finish it all, but happily took the leftovers home to be enjoyed the next evening. Can't wait to go back!
