We were put in the loudest room at a very small table next to the serving area We were not happy with this but stayed We frequent Bern's and never had an experience like this Someone should have notified us if our request was not going to be honored

This is an upscale restaurant with excellent service and a beautifully designed vintage interior that creates a great atmosphere.
The evening began with a rather bizarre tour through the kitchen and then down to the wine cellar – interesting, but a bit odd. The “salad” was a strange mix of vegetables, including an olive straight from a can, which didn’t leave a good impression.
The onion soup was disappointing (my wife’s version is far better), and the steak was just okay – nothing to remember. The side dishes, however, made things worse: the crispy fried onion strings were completely unnecessary and added nothing but heartburn, and the beans came in a strange, unidentifiable sauce that didn’t complement the dish at all.
For dessert, we tried the crème brûlée, which was excellent, and the bread pudding, which was cute but not remarkable.
Overall, a pleasant experience thanks to the service and ambiance, but the food itself lacked any real “wow” factor.

Berns was such a great dining experience. The food was top notch. Service attentive and detailed oriented. The atmosphere so laid back. Really glad they had a dress code. You don’t even need to read this review. JUST GO….if you can get a reservation 😊. We went with friends from out of town and EVERYTHING was PERFECT. Great service, amazing food, the biggest wine collection of ANY restaurant, and even if you’re full, you can find a way up to the Harry Waugh dessert room and stuff yourself just a little bit more. A Tampa original that shouldn’t be missed!

We looked forward to our Bern's experience for years. And we were happy to get a reservation for our 40th Anniversary! The staff was superb and extremely kind. And the place was a phenomenal experience. However, while we enjoyed the French onion soup and the large salad, the Delmonico steak was below standard. It had a lot of grizzle in it. We did expect it to be marbled, but this was grizzle. I mentioned it to our server Mark and he replied, that's what gives it flavor. He did not offer an alternative nor give us any consideration for this poor steak. We also were thrilled to try the Dessert Room... but my husband barely fit in the tiny spot. The young lady preparing the Bananas Foster appeared bored and irritated that she had to make it. She kept leaving before serving it. And while it was delicious, it was not warm. Your staff did bring us a wonderful Happy Anniversary platter, which was very thoughtful. The experience was top notch, but the steak was an utter disappointment. And we both experienced intestinal issues last night and this morning

My Fiancé made a reservation for us here for my birthday. I've been wanting to go here for years.... She knows I'm a steak person and we compare everything to what I can do at home! We drove nearly 2 hours from Leesburg lol. Berns was absolutely perfect and there is a reason they draw in the crowds. What a great place all the way around and we will certainly be going back! Steak was amazing, from the char, flavor, portion size was on point, everything was excellent! Keep up the great work Berns!!
