Besito Mexican Restaurant

I've dined many times at Besito and consider it one of my favorite restaurants. But I will NEVER go there on a Mexican holiday again. I chose the restaurant for a date, because the atmosphere is typically calm and intimate. However, since it was Dias de los Muertos, the restaurant had live (extremely loud) music and a dancing robot (?) performing for patrons at the bar. I asked to be seated as far away from the band as possible, but was told I couldn't get a booth on the far wall because they were for parties or 6. The din was unbearable. Not only could my date and I not hear each other without leaning in and screaming, but we couldn't hear our server (and vice versa) either. Even after the band wrapped, they continued to blare party music, which made conversation all but impossible. The service was far below the restaurant's usual level as well; our “table-side guacamole” was not prepared table side, and we had difficulty locating our server for requests several times. Finally, when we were done with the meal, our server misunderstood our request for boxes and ended up throwing away our leftovers. Like I said, I've had plenty of good experiences at this restaurant, and I hope this was an anomaly due to the holiday and not an indication of a new trend.

The guacamole was prepared in front of us and was delicious. The drinks were delish. I ordered tacos with Carne Asada and my daughter ordered fish, both well seasoned and tasty. We will be coming back!

Yes, the table side guac is all that it's cracked up to be! And save (or try) some room for dessert. The Tres Leches cake was the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend this place.

Great location! Best tacos I’ve had in Florida. Highly recommend it. Staff scary friendly and it’s very well decorated!

Food was amazing. Carmen, our waitress was fantastic. The best chips and salsa in Tampa. The fish tacos were amazing. One of the best Mexican restaurants in Tampa!

Took a date here for the first time. Loved the atmosphere, they definitely know how to do Taco Tuesday the right way. Great and friendly staff, and even did my special request from the Open Table app. Definitely a great place as advertised.

This is my go to Mexican restaurant in Trampa Bay. I have been a regular at Besitos since the day they opened.

It’s my go to place to meet friends, dates and for any family or holiday event.

The food is always fresh, flavorful, well made and well presented. Bravissimo!!!!!

The drinks 🍷 OMG 😆 well they are superbly made and their frozen margaritas are lethal. but even above that I enjoy the service from everyone at Besitos and ( Zoe the bartender you know you have my heart 💜 ) you always get my orders right and you always know what I need. Frank has a great staff and I hope that you will be at Westshore Plaza for many more years and events.

Selena was my waitress and was so sweet and helpful navigating the menu. The food was excellent and I sat outside next to the beautiful fountain they have. Definitely will come back.

We had another fantastic dinner at Besito! The food was excellent, and our evening was made extra special because of awesome service from Erika. She was professional, kind, attentive(but not pushy) and always appeared when we needed something. I highly recommend this elevated Mexican restaurant.

We love coming to Besitos! The food and the service is always on point, but tonight we had BiBi as our server and she made the night an experience. BiBi gave us good recommendations and was very sweet with my young daughter. It was our favorite time coming here.
