For how pricey it is I would expect to get the number of Oysters I actually ordered and not one that has been chargrilled to non-existence... see picture from 12/27. Wasn't even busy so there's absolutely no excuse that they felt this was good to serve.

Oysters were delish! We ordered 6 in garlic butter and 3 raw. The prices were reasonable, $2.50 per raw. Was a great late night indulgence. My only complaint is that the guy serving was high as a kite and kept taking is mask off to talk on the phone. We had to repeat things a few times for him to hear us.

On Sunday, my fiance and I were trying to spend most of the day outside with our pup so we decided to head down to Sparkman's Wharf for lunch after a long walk on Tampa's Riverwalk. I was craving fish and decided that we would head to Sparkman's Wharf to hang out for a bit. After having had some friends try Boat Run Oyster Company on our last visit to Sparkman's Wharf, I decided this was my choice for the day. When I approached their location, I was greeted rather quickly. I decided that I wanted to try 6 chargrilled oysters with butter and garlic, the Mahi tacos, and a Shrimp Roll (photos shown below). I was shocked to hear the total of $40 dollars, but quickly grabbed my wallet and paid it. Rather quickly, my shrimp roll was ready. I gave it to my fiance to start trying it before our other items were finished preparing (as he was borderline Hangry). After about 10-15 minutes or so, the rest of our order was complete. I brought the rest of our food to the table and quickly snapped photos before I endulged myself. The shrimp roll was delicious. It was definitely on the smaller side, so paying $14 may be a little much for what we received. The flavors really did go together well. It was actually cold shrimp, which we were not upset about since it was a hot day anyway. The oysters were extremely small. They were good, not great, flavor - but I definitely would not order them again. The Mahi tacos were fried - which I tend to stray away from, but I took a bite to try them. There was definite flavor in the tacos, but they were rather small as well. In addition, after our order - several other people approached the workers at the booth and they weren't really enthusiastic or friendly. It was almost like they didn't want to be there - which is fine, who wants to work on a Sunday, but at least be nice to these people about to spend $40+ on food! Unfortunately, we probably won't be back to this place.

I can not say enough of this place ..I had to leave a review. First of all, the customer service is excellent ! Janice was so sweet in educating and teaching my boyfriend and I on how to properly shuck the oysters with a demonstration! She was so nice and patient and even had us try a few on the house. The oysters I could tell were very fresh and tasty from the getgo. She and the staff prepared us well for our date night. We left feeling excited with our purchase. Thank you again guys !!

Chargrilled oysters and fried oyster sandwich were so tasty! Customer service was great! I accidentally left my card and the cook walked to find me to return it. Not many people would do that. Can’t say no to great food and great service. Definitely will be back.

We tried the raw oysters, chargrilled oysters with umami, and the conch fritters. They were all super delicious! The server was great and even treated us to a few on the house. Love this place and will be going back soon!

We used to love this place but the cashier (doubles as the chef at night) who’s been working there for the past 2 months has changed my perspective. Awful customer service. Overcooks the oysters. Not worth returning.

This place was very cute and the customer service was outstanding ! Unfortunately , we were not able to sit down and eat but they gave our birthday girl some complementary oysters for the trouble. Definitely a spot to check out in the future when visiting Tampa .

Would be a 4 if service was good. Person on duty looked like they would rather be anywhere else. Not very helpful with questions. Oysters were delicious though

I love this option at Sparkman's Wharf and always stop by for an oyster or two when in the area. I've been extremely pleased with most of the oysters I have tried here. Most come from the salty briney waters of the upper Atlantic ocean. Yum. I love being able to try one of each offering. The oysters seem fresh and I love the minaret that is offered along side lemon and horseradish. There can be a slight wait at times but obviously that is expected when oysters are being shucked fresh. If you are an oyster fan I highly recommend giving this place a try.

4 Stars because they do have some nice items, very friendly helpful staff! The chargrilled oysters are not really different then baked oysters, it does not have that Parmesean & garlic butter topping, it was ok, the oysters were fresh no complaints there, but if you want something closer to New Orleans style This is not the one sadly, if you decide to change it up and do it Nawlins style like most places ill gladly give it a Try and maybe you’ll get a 5Star review and probably from many others like my self and friends of mine who are searching hard for a go to spot!
