I’ve eaten at the main restaurant on multiple occasions and I’ve always had a great experience. I went to the BT TO GO location on Macdill yesterday for dinner and ordered Chicken Pho Soup around 5pm. The noodles were rubbery and hard and tasted as if they were barely cooked. The restaurant closes at 9pm, by the time I had the opportunity to reach out to the restaurant, they were already closed. I called in this morning and spoke with someone (none of them want to state their name which I’ve never experienced at a restaurant before) , they informed me that they’d call me back after the spoke with their manager. A few hours go by and nothing. I called again and spoke with someone different this time who did follow up with the general manager. The general manager refused to state her name said that it was my fault because it was most likely stored improperly and not eaten the same day. I tried to explain to her multiple times that i attempted to call yesterday but it was too late and I did in fact attempt to eat my food for dinner. Why would I buy pho to eat it the next day? She was very nasty toward me and blamed me for the reason as to why the noodles were rubbery and hard. I offered to bring the food back for either an exchange or a refund. I was denied a refund and an exchange and told it was my fault. For a restaurant that’s on the Michelin guide, the service was terrible and the general manager was one of the most nastiest people I’ve ever spoken to in the restaurant business. She refused to let me speak with someone else as she says she is the highest that this can go. It was a waste of $18, it was one of the nastiest soups I’ve ever had and I love pho. Please train your manager on how to communicate from a SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS STAND POINT. Due to this, I will not be recommending anyone to this restaurant.

The name “to go” is in their name but you should not order the pho to go! They put everything together in shared containers which means the herbs were wilted from the heat of the noodles. The beef was all shriveled up from sitting in hot broth. No sriracha was included and the broth was super bland. I will never order pick up from here again. I order pho from all over and this has to be the worst I’ve had. Really hoping it was an off night for whomever was in their kitchen but they really need some training on how to pack their food to go!

The tofu bahn mi was was good. It was loaded with pickled veggies and tofu and the bread was decent. The soy sauce aioli made the bahn mi very flavorful. The only major issue was that they charged $15 for the bahn mi. That price is ridiculous considering that other Vietnamese places in Tampa charge less than $10 for a tofu bahn mi.

I rarely write reviews but had such a negative experience I felt compelled to share. I ordered the small chocolate mousse for dinner dessert. The container was in a brown bag stapled shut, so I didn't see the order until I got to my office for an evening job. I was shocked to see the size of the product. It was a small condiment size container and it was $6.00! It was outrageous! I called the restaurant back to clarify that this was the appropriate portion as I have never seen such a small container for a dessert - especially for the price. They owner refused to give a refund, and basically had no regard for a dissatisfied customer. I will not return to the restaurant due to the manner in which I was treated.

Their Smoked Duck Breast Bahn Mi is absolutely amazing! It's flavorful and the fresh baguette makes it extra delicious. This or the Chili Chicken Cabbage Salad are my go-to orders from here.

So sorry to say that this did not meet my expectations to be a vietnamese restaurant. Very horrible Pho, small portions for, an astronomical amount of money. Please do not waste your time and money here. If you are looking for an authentic tasting food please research other places or make it yourself. These are fake fast food Michelin star ($$$) restaurants aiming for certain crowd who has not experienced the true flavors of vietnamese cuisine.

this place is an occasional visit for me. mostly when i dont want to travel out of south tampa..theres better pho out there. $18 for a bowl a pho and $15 for a banh mi. not enough meat in the pho/ depth of flavor in the broth its an over all just ok pho but its pricey without the wow factor. the banh mi was nice. it comes out warm i love the pate and fresh cilantro. i come here for the banh mi (consistently good)it was a nice warm feel good meal on a cold day. the pho comes with a hoisin/ siracha mix, lots of fresh herbs, beans sprouts and noodles But the to go setup is awkward for the soups. i would not recommend. they skimp you on protein and its WAY overcooked when you take out, and its a TO GO spot! and they should provide an additional container to combine the noodles and broth. limited seating. pretty quick service. they have premade grab and go bowls, salads, and juices. its close to bayshore and ballast point park so i love to order out and eat by the water.

Went here after a yoga class because I wanted some good food for the soul. It was a chilly night and I knew that BT has the best pho in town. My friend had never been here before and I was so excited to show her. I ordered the chicken pho and my friend ordered the tofu pho. We got it togo because we felt bad they were closing in 30 minutes but the woman brought it out to us in the wooden bowls because she said "it tastes better this way." The soup was silky and had just the right about of saltiness. I like my pho spicy so I added sriracha and extra hoisin sauce. I loved the fresh pieces of cilantro! The parking was so easy and although the bowl of pho was $17, they give you a huge portion so you could even take the rest home (it was too good I ate it all this time) Best soup for a cold night. Another successful experience.

First and foremost the food was very tasty. Although after ordering and paying $43 total for two items we were told the items get reheated. We were starving so that was fine. When they arrived the food was in plastic to-go bowls. So the salmon and chicken dishes were reheated in a microwave inside these plastic bowls. They were just regular to-go containers, probably filled with PUFAS, so the delicious organic healthy food we were eating unfortunately was eaten with some regrets knowing it was reheated in toxic plastic inside a microwave.

I know vietnamese food. I make it at home occasionally. Specifically the vermicelli salad and fish sauce. I know how to shop for it in Vietnamese at the Asian market. Im not the average customer here. That being said, the flavors here in the pho where off. Some corner is being cut because it didn't "hit right". There was also something up with the fish sauce and the flavor on the chicken. This is not the typical Vietnamese flavors that I was expecting. One should know that when other Asians are not there buying the food, that it isn't the real deal. The produce was fresh and the noodles were correctly cooked and prepared. There wasn't enough Sriracha and it was mixed in with hoisin. I like my pho and salad hot and spicy! I didn't have any at home so that was very disappointing. The price for what we got was outrageous. I get that they have to keep up rent in the area but, my god! I'd rather drive further and go to a hole in the wall viet joint. Not this overpriced South Tampa ripoff.I ordered $80 worth of food and didn't like it as much as other Vietnamese food I've had elsewhere. Shoulder shrug.

The bread was so delicious, I'll give them that. I ordered a salad with salmon. The salmon was clearly reheated, reheated salmon is gross. Definitely not worth the $30 I paid for the salad.
