Big fan of buddy brew but came to this location and I had to wait way longer then normal and they made my drink overly sweet. I asked for a new one and the lady in the front just put some cold brew on top, didn’t, stir it, and said this is one of our sweetest drinks with an attitude. Seemed like she was standing around doing nothing the whole time while the others were working.

We’ve been coming to Buddy Brew for years and never had any issues, but I just walked into the bathroom today and it was absolutely disgusting… dead roach and toilet sprayed with residue. It’s evident the bathroom has not been cleaned in days.. this is the second time I walked into a dirty bathroom here. I’m not the one to leave a negative review, but with how prices are and how busy this establishment is, I would think a clean bathroom would be priority.

You know… I try to like this place every time I come. Drinks are always… Mid. This was the last straw for me… they charge for honey in your drink. Honey….. what place charges for honey to be added in your drink? I am an avid coffee shop goer too. I have never once in my life been to a coffee shop that charged for honey. And for a $1. Be better :/

Lately, Hyde Park location has been going downhill on customer service.
Love Buddy Brew since moving to Tampa. I love this Hyde Park location, but lately, the staff isn’t as great as it once was.
My folks have been staying in Hyde Park due to be displaced so we’ve been meeting them here quite often. There’s times where they are “closed” with 30 minutes left. When you walk in, they won’t acknowledge you, they’ll ignore you. Just so they can do their closing tasks early and go home right after close.
Trying to use the app, which you have to scan before the transaction. They will often “forget” or not listen so after the transaction they will tell you, “Oh it’s too late now.”
When brought up to the manager, not much was done. They zeroed out the transaction to give me the points, but then gave me the wrong amount.
For the price and product, I might as well go to Starbucks. They’re consistent. I know what I’m getting. I want to support local coffee. I want to support small business but small business needs to understand their customers and how to win them over.
So, I’ll not be coming for a while and hope they act on this because after reading some recent reviews—I’m not the only one that thinks this way.
Also, they have less pastries than usual. Either they lost their baker or they’re not making enough in the morning. Always out of stuff.

We ordered a large gingerbread latte and a large vanilla latte. Usually they are good, but service seems to be slipping. I received a medium gingerbread latte (when I requested a large) and a large black coffee. When we brought it up to the gal, she was annoyed. She then gave us a large hot milk. Very disappointing!

I showed up at 6am for a hot tea. Told me it would take 5 minutes. Sat outside feeding my baby waiting for the tea. Eventually after 10 minutes, I turned around to see what was taking so long. There were 3 baristas standing across the counter with their hands crossed doing nothing but watch my tea go cold. Not one of them thought to maybe bring it out to me since I tipped them and they weren’t doing anything else. I hate the pre tipping option

I hesitate to leave this review. First off, the coffee is good....... but... barista was SO unfriendly, no smile, no hello, and no interaction other than loudly yelling names......maybe try a different system so he doesn't have to do everything. Perhaps he was having a bad day,. So lets hope that was the case. It's a cute store, good location for this area, very popular with the mommy and baby and stroller crowd mid morning. Seating inside and a few tables outside as well.

Just being honest, this location is terrible. The staff is very rude and not friendly at all. A guy name Will who works there is also very rude. Negative latte on this place, bay to bay location is way more on it.

The restroom was a mess. The faucet knob fell off as I washing my hands. The toilet didn’t flush. Threw away my chai drink it was lukewarm. Tampa is lacking good coffee houses. Can’t wait to get back to my favorite Four to Five Coffee houses in Long Island.

I have visited home (Tampa) from my other home (Chicago) for awhile, one thing I have recognized about this location is quality slowly drops every time I visit. I ordered an Iced Americano and that typically is great, also, better tasting than cold brew these days. The thing is I feel like the beans being used are too light roast. And when you have a drink like this it just tastes like dirt water (I get it that’s what it is) but when you have had tried other versions of the same drink you start to notice.
All in all, might need to make some updates to the process.

Amazing spot! The design and coffee shop itself is amazing - so unique and classic. The coffee is top tier. THE MUSIC is so bad though. They were blasting “womanizer” by Britney Spears though. This is so not the vibe of the cafe. Big thumbs down on that.

I’m not really sure what to say. The service and offering here at buddy brew are wildly inconsistent. I generally like the cold brew here over Starbucks. I would prefer to support a local coffee shop. I regularly drive from Zephyrhills on my days off to come here. I enjoy a good chocolate chip cookie with my cold brew, but half the time the ones here are way over cooked. I like the eggs on toast but they are constantly under cooked. Im talking about the white part of the egg not cooked. If you can’t cook eggs then maybe you should take food off the menu. The avocado on my toast looks like a quarter of a small avocado. Where are the owners? I’ve stopped tipping because I’m constantly having to ask that my order or drink be corrected… when it’s good it’s good but it’s bad way too often. I don’t know if the employees are just not being trained or they aren’t being given the right tools and resources. The employees are usually kind but half the time they seem uninterested. I blame the owners of buddy brew… DO BETTER.

Coffee was delicious. Food took almost 30 minutes. Ham and cheese biscuit was fine. They get an extra point for playing Deftones.
