Bula Kavananda Kava Bar & Coffee House

I’ve been a regular customer here, stopping in once a day for a drink, always quick in and out. On this visit, I parked in a spot where I wasn’t blocking anyone, yet I was screamed at while leaving. Employees invited a group of people to surround my car, made physical threats, and even said they would damage my vehicle. I had to call 911 before I was allowed to leave safely.

After the police were called, the business told me I was banned. I reached out to Bula via Facebook and email, and even though they read my messages, I never received any response from the owners. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to support a place that threatens customers with harm and property damage. This place isn’t just unprofessional, it’s dangerous.

Was visiting from out of town and was walking distance from this place. Hooked! Great energy, wonderful service, and good drinks. The staff is very welcoming, and the vibes are immaculate.

Great Kava! Good environment and NRG Good staff too! Little to collage base but the area duh! Still brings me back to my run through. Everyone is chill. Great place just to sit and vibe with everyone.

It was a nice atmosphere for the awesome band that we went to support.

Good tea. Cool bar and friendly dog. Stopped by last week while in tampa.
Parking was a bit confusing to get to at night, look at the satellite view before going. Not their fault just the road layout.

Bans everyone who doesn't fit their clique they're not about creating a safe space they're about creating an unsafe space I know so many good people who have been banned from here

First time there. Very cool vibe for all us cool kids. I didn't eat but was introduced kava and Kratom.

Bula Kavananda is hands down one of Tampa’s hidden gems. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, welcoming, and genuinely uplifting. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable—they make you feel like part of the family, whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth. Quality is wonderful and owner is humble!

From the moment you arrive, it feels like stepping into a friend’s home. The interior design is truly unique and original, full of charm. The teas and cookies were beyond delicious!

The service is friendly, but just a heads-up—you have to go to the counter to place your order, otherwise you might be waiting at your table for a while. Someone from the staff does bring your order to you afterward, though. I’m not sure if that’s how it always works, since it was my first time there.

Still, the experience was really pleasant. I felt comfortable and enjoyed the moment. Definitely a lovely spot to relax and unwind.

There’s no food but there’s a dominos next door. Whatever you do, do not I repeat do not park in the dominos lot. You can park in the lot next to bula that is not dominos. So on the right side of your in the parking lot of bula.

One of the best coffee houses in town but bring your own snacks! They offer a wide variety of coffees, teas and lemonades with all sorts of yummy flavors you can add! They have couches and plenty of space inside and out!! Everybody is awesome here staff and customers alike!! It is hands down my favorite place to study and it's safe! It feels like a second home!! I love this place so much I drive from Brandon!
