Cafe Quiquirqui (Cock-a-doodle-do...for English speakers) is a great spot to grab coffee or quick snack. The name is homage to the ubiquitous roosters of Ybor City. It's the only non-chain coffee place I know of in Tampa that's open past 2pm and as such I've become a semi-regular. It's located right on 7th in Ybor, inside Hotel Haya...however it has its own entrance. The cafe con leches are very solid and available both hot and iced. Their guava bars are tasty...
Found this place by accident, the food was amazing. You order at the counter and the cashier was not paying attention. Inside a hotel so the atmosphere is never the best, but they do a really good job with what they have.
What a beautiful cafe! I loved the hanging plants and the light coming in from all the windows was so gorgeous. The coffee was pretty basic, but the atmosphere keeps me coming back every time.
