Cafe Dufrain - Downtown Tampa- Harbour Island

Our waitress was wonderful but that's where our dining experience went South. The food that was served was cold. The pasta that was not cooked. Three of of the orders had to be sent back. Maybe just a bad evening in the kitchen. Our waitress couldn't have been more gracious. Under these circumstances it's hard to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Very nice place by the water and great service

Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Drinks were great, happy hour was legit. Smash burger came burnt and with burnt bacon, over cooked and tough. Great location, great servers! Food needs some work.

Gnocchi had a beautiful char but tasted like it was charred yesterday or early and then reheated. Texture was very off. All food lacked seasoning. Initial service was slow but after getting drinks it was adequate. Won't be coming back.

Just wow! Great atmosphere, server could come back and check on us (new water pitcher), but the food was excellent. The Asian bulgogi tacos were juicy and left your mouth watering for more (nice if there was 3 instead of 2). The fries were seasoned and crispy. I highly recommend it! Korean approved bulgogi!

My son dined here approximately 11 years ago & said it was a memorable experience. It was in all counts, from happy hour, the gracious welcome by our waitress and recommendations from the menu. She did not rush us but checked on us occasionally. She was perfect in every way. The food was superb. My kudos to the chef. We are from Canada and not in Tampa often but will definitely be back and tell all my friends about our wonderful experience.

Dufrain is a hidden gem on Harbour island. Melissa makes outstanding cocktails at the bar and Jenny is the friendliest server, it's hard to find service this good in Tampa these days! Five stars!

Cute place with a fun vibe. It was a rainy night so we couldn't enjoy the view but the restaurant was quiet. Great menu and the food was excellent. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was phenomenal.

I've eaten here many times, but this last time it was just ok . Menu seems to have changed and I'm not sure if it's for the better. What happened to the truffle fries, the chimichuri steak? $18 burger!! We were on our way to the Lightning game and I simply wasn't that impressed.

Food was well-prepared…steak was cooked perfectly…and nicely salted.

Terrible service…we were two out of three people at the bar, and we had to request an order from the bartender who was too busy to serve us, as she was cutting lemons…9/18/23

If you haven't tried their food, you're missing out. Everything on their menu is delicious and it's a wonderful place for the whole family.
