Found this place needing coffee and a quick breakfast with my kiddo. I didn’t realize it had vegan options but finding that not only do they but that their vegan options are equally extensive and delicious was a bonus. It means it gets added to the list for when my sister and BIL come visit. Their menu is a Cuban Asian fusion that is simply genius! They also have a large selection of Kaleisia teas, beers, bottled colas and more. The staff was friendly and made great recommendations. Cafe Hey is definitely on my go-to Tampa list.Vegetarian options: Vegan menu options and a vegan knowledgeable staff!

Great tasting vegan friendly food. Tofu scrambled has curry flavor. BLT was also delicious. My favorite are all the bakery items!

I was a vegan for 8 years and at the time they were the only ones doing vegan brunch . I enjoyed their selections but i cant comment on the regular food or drinks. This place is more of a gran and go as there is very limited seating and it is a rather small space that can feel packed very quickly so plan accordingly if you are looking to hangout. i went a couple times in the morning and there was just one person getting everything going , cooking and taking orders, i am not sure as of recent if this is still the case but if it is plan to wait a bit, was not ideal for a quick stop on the way to work.

Great coffee. Smooth and delicious. Cafe Cubano and Cappuccino- five star. Vibe of the place was ok. Probably wouldn’t hang out there much but great place to get good coffee. And we easily parked in the lot right beside the coffee shop. No need to pay for parking or parallel park.

The best part of Veganuary has been trying out delicious vegan eats around town on the days that I'm sick of cooking. This morning, Cafe Hey, a local restaurant I haven't been to in years, offered up a special vegan brunch and I went by to try it out after walking through the farmer's market (what is it about shopping for food that makes us want to buy prepared food right after?). I ordered the Cowboy Skillet with crispy home fries, vegan bacon and vegan over easy eggs (the "yolk" was the sauce). It was delicious and gave me all the feels of brunch without any of the animal products. The wait was a bit long, but the barista explained when I received my meal to-go that they had gotten such a big turnout for their brunch that they were a bit backed up. I didn't mind at all, as the vibes are easygoing and relaxed in the small restaurant, and the food was freshly made and tasty. I do hope that other restauranteurs in Downtown Tampa are taking notice, as it's pretty obvious that vegan eats are sought after and a vegan brunch can be pretty fruitful. But for now, I so appreciate Cafe Hey for leading the charge and offering up delicious plant-based options like this.

First time here & the vibes are quite nice. A mini shop but has outlets & free wifi. Cuban coffee was super rich tasting. Parking is probably the only downside cause it's street parking with limitation.Staff was super friendly. Environment is very cozy. Reminds me of those small coffee shops in Berkeley, CA. The hidden gems ?Great place to play catch up with friends too. Will be back for a longer visit.

Small Cafe with delicious vegan options, but also options for non vegans. The bread is amazing and the café con Leche is one of the best I've ever had.
