Used to be a fan of Cappy’s, even though its quality has always been inconsistent. It used to range from very good to average, but recently it’s been consistently below average. Was there a change of ownership or huge turnover in the staff? I noticed different people working there than I had seen in previous years. I’m going to have to cross them off my Pizza rotation as the last four visits there have all been below average.

We love Cappys so I hate to be writing this review. After walking to Cappys in the heat with our baby and waiting outside for 30 minutes, a worker took the sign in sheet and let a family at least 6 spots below us sit down. Me and another family (that had also been waiting for awhile and had been skipped another time) confronted him and he said “I understand that but they sat down at the table soo”

I don’t know if they are understaffed and over whelmed but this was unfortunate. We obviously left.

Really charming. Food is delicious- had the greek salad, cheese bread and New York style pizza (for the kids) and a large Cappy deep dish. We ordered way too much food. All of the food was delicious. Really simple but well made and good ingredients. Service was great (I assume it was the owner) who was our server and hostess. Definitely recommend. We loved it everything we are but the deep dish is a lot of food so I would definitely keep that in mind (we should ordered the small with salad and cheese bread for our family of 4). We ended up with nearly all of the two pizzas left but we are excited for the leftovers nonetheless! I also love the beer cooler and my husband and I discussed how they’re the coldest beers we have ever had.

FYI- limited seating (probably about 50 people but there are some areas for larger parties- there were two parties of 9 that we saw). No call ahead. They don’t really answer the phones. Cash only but there is an atm inside. Open 5-9pm. Last seating at 8:30. Closed for major holidays.

We will be back to try the Luca!

Tampa palms location not what it used to be. Pizza over cooked, a lil burnt with sparse cheese and toppings. Maybe its getting hard to pay rents...something changed.

The cheese pizza was so good! I loved the cheese and the tomato sauce in the pizza. Also the cheese was stretchy and had a very delicious taste. I would definitely come back here again. 10/10. ?

Amazing Chicago Style Pizza. Tomato sauce was out of this world. Perfect amount of toppings. As good or better than most pizzas in Chicago.
I will definitely return when I'm in

I recently visited Cappy's Pizza at 8:34 PM, eager to try their highly recommended pizza before their posted closing time of 9 PM. Unfortunately, I was informed that they decided to shut down early due to a slow night, despite their hours stating they close at 9 PM. With 30 minutes still left until closing, it was quite disappointing to be turned away.

This wasn't my first attempt to visit. On both occasions, during their working hours, my calls went unanswered. This could be a deliberate choice by the owners or an oversight by the staff, but either way, it discourages potential customers who are trying to place orders or get information.

Maintaining a good reputation is vital, and customer service is a big part of that. Whether it's an issue with the staff or a policy from the top, the service needs to improve. With service like this, even the best reputation will only go so far.

If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend calling ahead to ensure they're open, as this could save you time and frustration. Hopefully, the management will take note and make the necessary changes to enhance the customer experience.
