Carmine's Restaurant & Bar - Ybor

Had a wonderful lunch at Carmines with guests from out of town. There's a reason it's been there for decades!!!

We reserved a large table for a birthday celebration. There was most definitely a staffing issue - one person serving the entire dining room. It took hours to get our food. The food quality was reasonable, not spectacular. Our waiter tried his best, but he could only do so much.

Carmines Ybor shout out to Alexandra and the other staff! The deviled crab and calamari were superb 😋

They charged me a 4% extra fee that wasn’t explicitly stated.

It makes me question the integrity of the establishment, which isn’t good, especially as food is being handled. Hopefully this scumbag behavior isn’t prevalent across the entire operation for health reasons.

Delicious cuban, loaded with meat. Bean soup was very good, little salty and a little greasy, though. Baked ziti was also delicious. Our waitress was very kind to us and our 95 year old Mother.

Our first time, absolutely amazing time! Gale was a gem 10/10! The restaurant was very busy and food was delicious! Gale and D’Angelo made sure we had an amazing experience! Hope we get them again!

Ask for Paris when you go here! She is fast, very friendly and kind. We came for lunch, was seated quickly and Paris greeted us with a smile and ice, cold water. The baked Ziti was delicious! Cuban sandwich was one of the best in Tampa!! Bean soup was also very good. We will definitely return!!

Ordered the blackened grilled chicken w/black bean&rice sides. Chicken was dry overcooked, rice was cold and crunchy, beans had no flavor. My husband order the Italian sausage sandwich, it was more bread than sausage as they served it with one small sausage link cut in half.

Not what it used to be. Pressed cuban wasn't really "pressed". More of a cold lunch meat sandwich. Unattentive wait staff, especially for a Saturday afternoon. This place was my "go to" for great cuban food for a couple of decades. Things change.
