The person behind the bar was attempting to open a vodka bottle by taking off the plastic with his teeth. In all my years of sitting at Bars never saw an employee stick a liquor bottle in their mouth. I immediately asked him stop as it was disturbing and disgusting and nobody cared. I was still charged for my cocktail, which I could not drink and left asap. Do NOT eat here. There's no standards, and that vodka bottle was not removed from rotation.

Stick with the pasta. Sirloin steak was tough and undercooked. Service was good and waiter was very friendly.

My husband and I were looking for a good dinner close to the hotel we were staying at on the way out of town thru the airport. We were pleasantly surprised to find Carrabas Italian Grill. Maria, our wait person, was very friendly and attentive. The food was superb! The side salad with blue cheese was generous. The chicken soup was fresh and homemade. The chicken trio and fettuccine Carrabas were both delicious and left plenty for leftovers the next morning as we were leaving for the airport before breakfast was served at our hotel. The atmosphere was that of a successful, busy restaurant with a pleasant soundtrack of light jazz, Sinatra, Dean Martin, with a little country and pop mixed in here and there. Only a 5 minute wait for a table, but they have a bustling take out service if you don't want to wait. Don't miss this!

Another excellent experience at Dale Mabry Carrabas! Our server Allison was very attentive and had a great sense of humor! She suggested a few things on the menu, in which we tried, like the chicken parm! Always a great experience with a homestyle feeling! And it's just down the street from our favorite comic shop! We Love Comics located at 3310 w Cypress st!! Come join us for a fantastic experience! Upholding the Carrabas ethic!! Thanks again!!! ( Nikki reminded me of Susanna Hoffs!! Hottie!)
Parking: Located behind the building in a spacious lot.

If you’re looking for a casual Italian dining experience with a touch of elegance, Carrabba’s Italian Grill won’t disappoint. I recently dined there and left satisfied, though not without a few notes.
Atmosphere & Service
The ambiance strikes a nice balance between cozy and upscale. Low lighting, warm wooden accents, and an open kitchen make for a welcoming vibe. The staff was attentive and friendly, though service slowed down a bit during the dinner rush.
Food
I started with the classic Calamari, which was lightly fried and perfectly crisp, served with marinara sauce that had just the right amount of kick. For the main course, I went with the Chicken Bryan—grilled chicken topped with goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and a lemon-basil butter sauce. It was flavorful and well-cooked, though the portion size felt modest compared to the price.
The highlight, though, was the Penne Carrabba—a rich and creamy pasta dish with sautéed mushrooms, peas, and grilled chicken in a parmesan cream sauce. It’s hearty and comforting, the kind of dish that makes you want to curl up on the couch afterward.
For dessert, the Tiramisu was indulgent without being overly sweet, a great way to end the meal.
Final Thoughts
Carrabba’s offers a solid Italian-American menu with some standout dishes. While it’s not the most authentic Italian experience, it’s a great spot for a family dinner or casual date night. Go for the pasta, stay for the tiramisu, and maybe skip the peak dinner hours for a more relaxed experience.
