Great NY style pizza cooked exactly how you ask. Ordered from here because I use to walk there as a kid when it was a different pizza place. Walking in I could tell it was family run. They were really nice and the owner took time to thank me for ordering (nice surprise). They remembered to double cut my kids pizza which made the kids happy. Wife loved it. Cant ask for much more.

I went in and asked how much for a slice, I was working with $5 and needed to get gas but had the worst craving for pizza (us native Northeasterners seem to crave pizza differently than the rest of the world, I've been told) he asked how much I was willing to pay and he actually went much lower which is a major blessing for me and my current fiscal situation. I won't say what price we agreed on tho. The pizza was amazing, I did add my staples of Oregano, garlic and salt but the pizza was great on its own. I cannot thank him enuff for his generosity and pizza expertise. It hit the spot and I walked away with faith in humanity, which is hard to find these days. Thank you so much!!! If you get a chance, stop in, the food is great and so are the people.

Love this place!No frills, NY style pizza joint. Feels like a step back in time as you enter, in a good way.The owner-operator, Charlie is very kind and keeps his place tidy.Pizza is fantastic, perfect crust with more cheese than you get on a standard pizza anywhere else.Wings are solid, crispy.My only complaint - wish there was more pepperoni on his pies.

To be honest, I've only had his wings, which are perfectly cooked and flavored, but I'm fully confident that all of his other menu items are prepared, cooked, and served with the same quality.Not only can you have a great tasting meal, but enjoy the pleasant, kind, wonderful man that makes it happen.Charlie is so very friendly and personable which is demonstrated by his beautiful demeanor..I hope more patrons decide to give him a chance if you've never stopped in. If you haven’t been to this place, do yourself a favor and check it out. It’s a small shop, and seriously some of the best pizza outside of New York I have found. The owner is awesome and I promise you whatever you order, you will be pleased with.

So let me start by saying I've lived in Tampa area my entire life a little over four decades, well I'm not 100% sure of how long this business has been at this location, although the owner did mention it to me I just don't recall. I can say without a doubt that I have been truly missing out all these years by not finding this place sooner! Mr Charlie is in my humble opinion, not the type of guy that you meet on a daily basis! He has most definitely been cut from a much different cloth than your average Joe. Who undoubtedly takes great pride in his product, and genuinely appreciate any and all of his customers! After only speaking with him for a short time today, this was undeniably impossible to overlook! Please do yourself a favor and go see Mr Charlie and speak with him yourself, so you can experience such a great individual and an amazing meal as an added bonus!!

We live nearby and have been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally got around to it and they did not disappoint. NY Style pizza was delicious (although I wish it would've had more toppings). Garlic knots were so garlicky and soft. Wings were crispy and fresh. We will for sure be ordering again.

As a New Yorker who just moved to Florida, I attest that Charlies is the most authentic New York Style pizza in Tampa. Where I'm from we have the BEST pizza (obviously) and Charlies is just as good! You're foolish to bother with another Pizza shop.

Trying out some new pizza. Wings, maybe next time. Better late than never. New ownership tempted me back to a place I previously avoided. I ordered a 18" extra cheese pie. A real oven is always a great start. The next good omen is they know what extra cheese means, the pizza was about 30% larger and $7 cheaper than that coal fire place. When I say new owner, he's been there 10 years, I just did not know. We now have a place very close to home as an option. In this neighborhood, it's the best option.

Just had this place for the first time today. We got pizza and wings and both were amazing! When I got there, he asked if I had been there before. When I said no, he was very excited to explain to me that he makes his own dough (pointed out the ingredients in the kitchen). He explained his prices are a bit high but he believes his product is superior (the wife and I agreed). He then proceeded to give us an Italian ice on the house. He was extremely pleasant, friendly, and polite. The food was amazing.As far as negative reviews, I've noticed two things. One, most look they were written by a kindergartener with a very loose grip on basic grammar. Second, I saw several reviews on the delivery service. Here's the thing...he DOESN'T DELIVER! He also doesn't sell out to third parties such as Uber eats. So I don't know if these people get Charlie's confused with somewhere else or what. But this is a small business run by someone who pours his heart into his product. If you want cheap and fast, go elsewhere. If you value quality, this is the place for you.
