This place is right next to my work. It's a little hard to find, but worth it once you do. Really delicious pastries and friendly staff.

Very very disappointed. Paid $10 for 2 croissants that were supposed to be chocolate-filled and instead both only had a drop of chocolate smeared on the end of one and wiped on the top on the same side.

Our curiosity to locate a "beat Bobby Flay" winner took us on scavenger hunt to locate this elusive bakery. Well hidden in an industrial park near the back of a commercial building, it took us a couple of attempts to locate it, but not without a call to ask their whereabouts. Two picnic tables greeted us at the door and the inside counter was small with a few pastries displayed. The baked goods were good. Understand they provide pastries for airport dining. This is not a destination location but if you're looking for something unique, want the notoriety of a food network participant (winner), take a drive through a warehouse park and treat yourself to a Bobby Flay competitor

Chef and Baker is located in a business park. As you’re driving back you think there can’t possibly be a restaurant here. But let me tell you it’s worth the trip. We tried several empanada flavors and the croissant donuts. All were excellent. My son said the Nutella croissant donut was the best thing he’s ever eaten that contained Nutella (he’s a huge Nutella fan). The guava croissant donut is amazing. The perfect amount of guava inside the lightest cinnamon sugar croissant. There are only two picnic tables available to eat outside so you may have to take your food to go or order online. I’ll definitely be making more trips to the Chef and Baker.
Went here today and were not disappointed. Got cronuts, empanadas (beef, cheeseburger, cubano, pizza, …), strawberry shortcake, mini baguettes. Everything was delicious! The store attendant was very pleasant and helpful. Heard of Chef & the Baker from a friend in PR who read about them in a local newspaper. What a great find! Already planning to return. ❤️

One of the cutest bakeries in Tampa Bay. Excellent customer service. The pastries will satisfy your taste buds. Try the empanadas they are flaky, and filled with deliciousness in ever bite. Found this place by following signs for fresh bakery and empanadas. Lol ? you'll enjoy

Little whole in the wall place, off the beaten path....and Oh my goodness, I was so happy we made the trip. There is no seating, but the girl at the counter was super helpful. The beef empanada was great. AND the cuban empanada was AMAZING! I strongly suggest you get extras when you go cause you will want more.
