I've eaten at this place many times. I take out of town visitors here in the evening. Today, it was around noon. There were about 14 customers. This was my 1st time at the lunch hour. My visitor and I were done eating and trying to get our waitress's attention, which was for some reason very difficult. After listening to me sing the praises of this place for years, my visitor could only shake her head and wonder whatever was I talking about. I'm wondering if this is the norm at lunch time? It sure has never happened in the evening. Now, I don't know if I'll be back. It's a shame, because I enjoyed the meal. And I felt like a fool when the service was so poor.

i went to chiles yesterday with my family and had the best experience. the food was delicious and the service was amazing. i believe my servers name was Alina, she was so kind and checked on us throughout our meal. definitely coming back :)

Walked in and within probably 90 seconds I was seated with a bowl of warm chips and salsa in front of me. Ordered a lunch special, which at $10 is a fantastic value. Service was excellent

The food was good and the churros were amazing. However, I dined in about 2pm so there was literally no one else seated in my section. One server was on my right cleaning and the other server was on my left at the bar. They were having a very loud conversation as though I was not sitting there. Even after looking up at them they continued on as though I was invisible. That does not make me feel like a valued customer.

I love tacos and not just any tacos but Mexican street tacos! I’m from San Diego and I’ve been in Florida 3+ years and have tried a lot of places, this is the best Mexican food around, feels and taste just like back home!!! Delicious!!! The horchata is phenomenal! Will be back weekly !!!!

One authentic Mexican restaurant in Tampa! Staff is always attentive.
From the moment I dialed the phone I knew this place would become one of my favorite Mexican food spots. The gentleman who picked up the phone was very kind and helpful. The order time was reasonable and food was still hot by the time I got home. The chilequiles were an amazing portion for the money and some of the best tasting I’ve ever had. The staff in house was very friendly and helpful with taking payment and making sure the order was right. A definite must go for anyone in the area.

Service was slow and didn’t acknowledge people sitting and waiting for refills and that, but would walk straight up to Spanish only speaking clients to see how they were first, very biased atmosphere. Wouldn’t recommend to an enemy??♂️ Also the food was “decent”, but my wife and myself are now having stomach aches from simple tacos rice and beans. 0/10
