We ordered take out General Tso, Fried Rice & Spring Rolls, NONE of which was appropriate temperature. The shrimp in the fried rice was right out of the fridge and smelled 'off'. Spring rolls & General Tso were room temperature. Hugely disappointing, we won't return.

Update: just picked up food from here for the first time in a year. Not sure why all the negative reviews. Friendly and food was quite good! In fact, not sure if new owners but was actually a bit better than previously. Definitely recommend for local NY style Chinese in Tampa Palms.

If I could give zero stars I would. The food is horrific. I ordered orange chicken and bourbon chicken with a Qt of egg drop soup. Total $28. The bourbon chicken smelled and taste like it had cinnamon in it, the sauce was thick and nothing like bourbon anywhere I’ve ever gone. It was so awful I fed the chicken to my dogs. My son wouldn’t even touch the orange chicken due to the appearance and smell. Again nothing like any other Chinese restaurant we have ever experienced. The soup was mediocre and cold when we got it.. i heated it up and ended up pouring ALL of it down the drain. My son tried to get a refund for the order, less the soup and 2 soda it came with and they gave back $9 and asked if we wanted the food! Who would want the food we just said was horrid! Don’t go here! Go to Publix and buy something to cook for yourself.

After looking for Chinese food restaurant I came across China City, after looking at the photos shared by other customers I thought I would give it a try. One thing I learned is a picture is not what it seems haha. The food arrived in a timely manner and upon first look its looked great, as soon as I tasted it though I realized it was not good at all. My family and I ordered some burboun chicken and fried rice as well as dumplings and sweet and sour chicken. The rice was super greasy and tasted stale and bland. The dumplins were also super stale pieces so hard they were not edible and the sweet and sour and bourboun chicken was super tough and dry. Not sure if these were cooked earlier in the days and they just sold them that way. Would def not recommend

The chicken was absolutely disgusting and I could not eat more than 1 bite. It was so expensive as well and the food tasted so rubbery. The beef wasn’t good either. The only thing good was the rice. Honestly, I would rather eat chicken on a plane rather than go here again.
Food was subpar. I believe they changed ownership. My egg fo young special was oily, not enough special, and hard on the stomach. Mind you I have been eating here for 20yrs. Same meal. The chicken was okay, egg fried rice is incredibly bland, there’s 6 tiny shrimp in my “pint” of lo mein. The lo mein is the biggest letdown, it’s greasy in a bad way and tastes off, the shrimp taste fishy. Cream cheese wontons are base level of acceptable but the sweet and sour sauce provided is not only tiny but seems watered down. Hot and sour soup tastes like dirty mushrooms I’m vinegar water.When I walked in the woman working the front was sitting in the prep area eating and didn’t even finish swallowing her food before talking to me. I told her she could take a minute and with her mouth full she said it’s fine. Gross and you can’t be eating in the back of the kitchen, that’s a health code violation and I definitely didn’t need to see someone’s food in their mouth while they were talking to me

I got the lunch special for $8.99, the sweet and sour chicken was crispy and came with an nice dipping sauce. It came with a drink and fried rice. There was no skimping on the meat and I recieved an very large portion. What a bang for my buck! The service was kind efficient and clean. Give this place some love and help support this great local buisness
