I attended an event at Common Dialect Beerworks last night, and let me just say — if beer is a language, these folks are fluent. The place is immaculate (I’ve seen hospital operating rooms with more dust), and the atmosphere was fun without trying too hard — like that one cool cousin who knows every good band before they get famous.

The beer? Outstanding. I tried a few, because, you know… research. Each one was better than the last, and somehow they all paired perfectly with the lively crowd and the dangerously comfortable seating. (Pro tip: sit down for “just one” and you’ll end up staying until you know the bartender’s life story and favorite dinosaur.)

And the staff? Absolute legends. Friendly, knowledgeable, and quick with a laugh — even when I asked way too many questions like, “If this IPA had a spirit animal, what would it be?” (Answer: a very confident otter.)

In short: Common Dialect is the kind of place where you come for a beer and accidentally find your new favorite hangout. Highly recommend. Just be careful — you might leave speaking fluent craft beer nerd.

Sip It or Skip It: SIP IT!

Airy, with a large interior space and a great dog-friendly patio and great parking (for Seminole Heights, Tampa). 20-ish beer offerings across a range styles - Seltzer to Pils to Bourbon Aged - catering to a broad range of tastes and friendly 'tenders. Food is based on food truck availability.

Must-Try Brew: A Stoot Irish Stout

Final Pour: Nice neighborhood brewery that can accommodate larger parties with solid craft beer and a great covered patio. Definitely worth a visit.

Really cool spot in the heart of Seminole Heights. Always has quality food trucks. Sometimes lacking on a normal lager yet heavy on the stouts and sours. They had the best trivia in the area and now It seems they have trivia there as an afterthought just incase you wanted to play while you were there on a Tuesday.

Cool place! Went for the 2year anniversary and they had a free chili contest which was awesome! The beer is good!

Hemp beverages available here plus craft beer and wine. Good place for locals and visitors alike. This area has lots to offer if you are seeking a neighborhood vibe. Kyle behind the bar was super nice. Mike the owner is also the brewer here. The beers were delicious. Thanks for what you do.

Came by for Christmas Eve lunch where a vendor had seafood available for lunch. Had to have the Grinch Juice to get in the Christmas mood!

The Non Roti Maker

A brewery with the feel of a downtown loft. The beers have a nice hop to them. Nearly all of them are good. They usually have a food truck on premises. Events are fun. I really like the dark mild collaboration beer with grand central brewing. Heights got another hang out spot. Pet friendly.

I was part of a large group celebrating a friend’s birthday and initially enjoyed the great vibe, good beer, and friendly service. Unfortunately, the night took a turn when the owner came out yelling at the entire brewery over a situation involving a dog in our group.

Rather than addressing the issue calmly or speaking directly to the owner of the dog, the owner decided to shout and demean everyone in the room. The sudden outburst was unnecessary and completely unprofessional, making the entire atmosphere tense and uncomfortable.

It’s disappointing that a great experience was ruined by how this was handled. Respect and professionalism go a long way, and unfortunately, that was lacking.

Took grandchildren out to dinner. Hamburger, fries, chicken wings. I was disappointed with their food on food truck, especially when I found 2 human hairs in chicken wings.
