After experiencing blatant ignorance, I lost all respect for this brewery. I know Coppertail is a loved local brewery in Tampa and that’s why I decided to come there for my homework assignment for my beer and culture class. I brought my friend who is 21, African-American with Dreads and tattoos. When he tried to buy a drink the beer-tender told him that he had no way to prove his Id was real. We proceeded to get a police officer that was on the premises to run his license to prove it’s real. The officer was nice enough to pass the message to the beer-tender to which he still proceeded to deny my friend service claiming that choosing Copper-tail to do my assignment was suspicious.
The other staff members also were laughing for some reason lol, overall it’s was just bad business and embarrassing for my friend who is 21 who simply just wanted to Support a local brewery.

We love this place but we are very disappointed that the smoked fried chicken sandwich was discontinued. Please bring it back! We drove all the way out for my husband’s birthday only to find out it was discontinued.

Not sure what else to say but this is just simply an Awesome place for brews & laughs. Cool staff. Chill vibes. I'm coming back as soon as I get to Tampa.

This brewery is beautiful and skillfully crafted. All of the beers are amazing! The food is house made, including stuffed cheese burgers, drunken shrimp, and beer cheese dip with a pretzel. Our service was outstanding and everyone was great to chat with. I would like to suggest vegetarian options, a local fish, instead of catfish, and "green ware", for the planet. Not a fan of styrofoam..

I see several others with this review so adding another to the pile… increased tip amount (when already over 20%). Surprised management doesn’t do anything about the girl that seems to regularly be doing this… multiple reviews in the last 2 months all specifying female bartender changing tip amount 🤷‍♂️

I was wishing for an authentic Tampa Cuban .. I was very disappointed.. and $18 poorer, too.

Their beer selection is exquisite, and finding not one, but two amazing hazy IPAs is a rare treat. The waffle fries? Absolute perfection – crispy and delicious. The service is always on point – super attentive and welcoming, which makes every visit a good time.

They’ve got a wide variety of beers to try, so there’s something for everyone. My only small gripe is the music – sometimes it’s too low or not playing at all, which can kill the vibe a bit. But aside from that, this spot offers a really pleasant experience. Highly recommend checking it out!

My group walked in last minute and decided to take the tour. Anthony was a great tour guide! The building is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. For those of you that like merch, they have a ton at great prices. There are plenty of beer and food options for everyone. Everything we tasted was delicious! It’s a must visit

Just what was expected from a brewery. I wish there was more to do in walking distance from there, but it was a nice unique place that we really enjoyed. Beer selection was very nice and tasty. Loved the beer cheese and mac. Will be back next time we are in the area. Thanks!
