Family-owned and operated a very long time specializing in all kinds of seafood. Hard to find it's equal.

One of the best, if not the best seafood markets I've ever been to!! The staff were very helpful and very polite!! Just a fun place to catch your fresh seafood, and I will definitely be back!! Oh btw...the smoked mullet is absolutely killer!!

I have been going here for years. The last two times I went in to get the pink shrimp. The shrimp has a spoiled taste and smells like chemicals. I asked today if it was fresh, they said yes. It is the same thing. The whole place smells. The place has really gone down since the parents retired.

These guys are awesome. Fresh fish and other seafood is always great, but I love it that they have lobster meat in the freezer too.

I was a first time shopper and they made a great impression! Place is very clean and well stocked full of both fresh and frozen seafood. We purchased some of the last snow crab legs before they went out of season, put them in our seafood boil and they were delicious! I will definitely be back because the prices are fair and the selection is great!

Great selection of local seafood and they cut it the way you want it. Call ahead if you're after smoked mullet, as they only do it when there's a good supply of larger mullet.

The staff here is amazing and really knowledgeable about the seafood. Providing options and answering the customer’s questions.

The best place to buy fish in Tampa. If you can't get a fish here, you probably will not find it in Tampa. This place is a little crowded at times. So get a token for service as soon as you get in. Employees here are highly dedicated and pleasant.

After shopping here since 2005 and driving down from Hudson to shop for the last 6 years. I’ve ignored the minor issues for years like; buying a “pound” of scallops only to get 12-14 ounces of scallops and the rest water, the scales being heavier in store than at home when I portion things out, and the occasional small amount of a double charge to name a few. Since the quality and services were over the top it was easy to over look. However the quality began to slip, as did the customer services, and the frequency I was overlooking things seems to be every trip. The straw that broke the camels back is when they were trying to wrap sushi grade tuna in newspaper, no wax paper in between or anything. I wouldn’t eat a sandwich without washing my hands after reading a newspaper. Much less be ok with someone wrapping a fish that I plan to eat raw, serve to my family, and that I’m paying a premium for. There’s been quite a few studies showing how dangerous the ink in newspapers can be, so why anyone would be ok with ingesting them is beyond me.When I asked about it I was met with defensiveness and a condescending tone from the lady picking my selections. She then went on to say this is how they always do it. I know for a fact I’ve never bought anything from them wrapped in newspaper since I’ve been a customer. When I said no that’s never been done like this before, she shrugged her shoulders and just chuckled. She didn’t offer a better solution, just an “oh well”. As the owner was looking on from the back obviously oblivious, that was it…. I decided it was time to find a new seafood market and vote with my dollar. What was our go to spot and who we recommend to everyone for fresh seafood is now a place we won’t walk in again. This use to be the best spot in Tampa for fresh seafood, but now it’s just a sub par fishy hole in the wall. I did find a new seafood place with higher quality, a bit more expensive though I’ll gladly pay it! I was fooled for years by the tradition and nostalgia of Cox’s; don’t make that mistake. If they are cutting corners like this up front who knows what’s they are doing in the back.

Been around as long as I can remember. Take a number for some great fresh fish, call a couple days in advance for oysters.

The seafood is the freshest in town, but it's a chore to get what you want. Even if you called ahead to pick up what you want, or are buying out of the self serve case, you have to take a number. It can take up to half hour to finally get helped. People were getting angry because they would pick out a self serve item and then go to the register and be refused to get checked out because they don't have a number. If they would keep one person on the register just to do check outs the process would be much less painful. We go very rarely because it's never a quick stop.

The premiere seafood market for me in Tampa. They will prep your selection anyway you want, for Smoking, Grilling, Broiler or Frying. Always fresh seafood.
