Despite quite a few recent one star reviews we decided to take a chance on Cuban Breezes last weekend and are so glad we did. Highly recommended.
The restaurant was almost full when we entered but we were soon greeted with a smile and within a few minutes a small booth was cleaned and ready.
Our server was Maddie and she could not have been better, friendly, professional, attentive and knowledgeable.
Their website mentions a meatloaf Cuban, which I immediately had my heart set on, but sadly it turns out this is only available occasionally as a 'Special' and Maddie said it usually sells out pretty quickly.
We ordered yuca fritters, a Cuban, a Hawaiian Cuban (which yes, sounds a little crazy) tostones, congri (think Cuban dirty rice) plus a chardonnay and an ice cold beer.
The food came out in a timely manner and everything was hot, well prepared and delicious, at least as good as any Cuban we've had in Fort Myers, Miami or the Keys.
We both love a good Cuban sandwich, or its even sweeter cousin, the Medianoche, but agreed with Maddie that the Hawaiian Cuban is our new favorite, sort of the Cuban version of tacos al pastor.
Our whole experience could not have been more positive (maybe a few less F-Bombs from the kitchen staff). Great food at fair prices, cheap beer and a friendly staff! Give Cuban Breezes a try and, as for Maddie, ask for her by name. You won't be disappointed.

Use your be a great spot. Looks like it has lost the quality/ taste in the food big time. Either they have a new cook who doesn’t really know how to make tasty meals or they just don’t care anymore. I’ve had better Cuban food at Airport. Definitely a No go for me from now on! I hope they fix the issue with the chef before it’s too late! Chicken was dry. No flavor. I could cook better than that watching a YouTube video!

Nope, definitely no cuban food, they do not even follow the cuban recipes, as a 54 years old born in cuban, I can say very confident that this is the worst food in general I ever had. I don’t know where all the 5 and 4 star came from. Go instead to Cuban Foodies just across the street and you will not regret it.

I recently had a catering order from there. It was for a small party. The Cuban sandwiches were great. The croquetas were also a big hit. It was a fair price and ready on time!

We have been coming to this place for a long time, before I recommended it to everyone as an excellent place and I really liked the attention of the girls who worked, but today was a tremendous disappointment with the unpleasant treatment we received, incredibly the person who served us did not even give us the chance to order dessert, we had not finished and she came with the bill and threw it on the table, and with that she turned her back on us, incredibly, many businesses when they neglect these details and lower the quality of service have to lower their customers, as far as I am concerned I will never go to this place again and I will not recommend it to anyone else, I left the place very upset, what they do not realize is that Tampa is full of better places and they are thankful that someone goes to spend their money.

Excellent, highly recommend. Breaded steak was a lot bigger than the plate in came on. Good breading that doesn’t fall off. Side of garlic mayo was a nice addition.
