Dapper Doughnut Tampa-Fowler

This place is an incredible little find. The doughnuts are fresh and taste amazing, the atmosphere is quaint and cute, and the workers are nice and friendly. They even gave us two free little sample doughnuts while we waited! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a treat that is just the right amount of sweet!

I love mini doughnuts and was excited to try these. Now the doughnuts themselves were perfectly made BUT…. The flavors were lacking. They all tasted the same, minus a small few. I actually preferred the glazed because it’s what I expected. Whatever drizzles are being used… melt into the doughnut and just get lost. I just think better topping for flavors to match the names would make this a 5.

Literally the best doughnuts I’ve ever had, manager and owner are so nice and professional. I also watched them prepare the doughnuts and they truly decorate each and every doughnut with care and skill. The craftsmanship is insane! They’re so delicious you can taste the love !

I guess they are fine….just pretty plain tasting to me. All of the toppings tasted watered down and bland. The texture was good but flavor just wasn’t there compared to other mini donut places like this. The latte was pretty good. I would probably stop to get a coffee more than I would the donuts again.

Let’s talk about it… Dapper Doughnuts is a must try spot. I have been twice, once for a birthday cake replacement and the second just because the first was delicious. The first time my family and I dined it, so let’s unpack that first.

We arrived as were greeted with such great energy and enthusiasm. I wasn’t clear on the ordering and Matt gave clarity after he let me get all my flavors out, lol. He asked questions for clarity, to see what I was really hoping to do, and we ended up with the largest doughnut count because of the flavor break up. It worked out perfectly cause he took the time to understand that it was several people trying these doughnuts. We left with all the flavors we needed to try the spot and everyone to be happy.

The restaurant was clean and welcoming! We then got the opportunity to watch them make our doughnuts and they did it very neat and clean. The work space where the food is prepared was very well maintained. The glass allows you to see the preparation and contamination not to interfere. The doughnuts are literally dropped fresh for our order. That is the best part because we were able to enjoy them fresh as we were able to sit out in the parking lot. They provided us with individual boxes for the kids and everyone really enjoyed their flavors. The size of the doughnuts were perfect for separating and not over eating for the kids. For the adults they are bites, I would say 3 equals 1 doughnut of a standard.

They always made fresh to order they stand behind it, we went late on the evening, and they made batter just to meet the needs of our order. Our second time we ordered early in the day and still consistent.

I only had one thing about this location, the air conditioning seemed to be on super low. Everyone in our party had chill bumps but it also could have been the temperature dropping as well. But it did not stop us from going again. That’s is how we ended up migrating outside.

The second time was delivered to our home and we are bout 15-20mins away, and THEY STILL ARRIVED SO SO FRESH!

So highlights of Dapper Doughnuts, they are fresh all the time and have a flavors for everyone!!
The chocolate glaze, regular glaze, and cookies and cream, are a hit for me. MIST HAVES! Apple pie has a nice touch too but definitely a fall flavor for me!

Dapper Doughnuts definitely brought their Southern NC charm to FL, you must go and pay them a visit! We are going again today! lol! Enjoy!

Parking: The parking lot is always busy, this particular shopping center has a lot. BUT be patient add just a few minutes extra to your trip and it will be worth it for their food.

Kid-friendliness: The mini doughnuts are great if you have children so they can try different flavors. Also they reduce the mess of clean up because kids can handle them so easily.
