Started with the French onion soup and it was ok. My wife had the bigity big burger, which was good. I had the Cuban sandwich, and it was great. Both came with housemade chips with a blue cheese drizzle and green onions. My wife enjoyed those, but I wasn't crazy about them. We took cake back to the hotel for later. The red velvet was great! Kind of slow service, but the food was worth it.

I can not rave about this place enough. The food, the service and the atmosphere were all amazing! I can't wait to go back. I know this sounds crazy, but try the Brussels sprouts. They are a delicious bacony delight.

For sure a unique place to go. We arrived an hour and a half before close but service was friendly and quick and were out within an hour and other tables were still there eating. Lots of unique foods and flavor combos that you’ll have to come back several times to try them all. The portion sizes were massive! I think all of them could probably be shared between two people. I made my decision after looking at pics of the food on Yelp. I went with the meatloaf stuffed with mac and cheese, the pictures (and I know mine will probably be like the rest) but did not do it justice on the size of the meatloaf, it was so big! My one complaint is I should’ve requested the ketchup on the side, I didn’t realize how much ketchup was on the meatloaf and I do not like ketchup and mac and cheese. My boyfriend had the Cheesy Tod Burger (as seen on GMA). The burger (like my meatloaf) was also very big. Instead of bread for the buns, it was two fried mac and cheese “buns”, talk about creative! This place definitely seems like a fun brunch spot, which they do offer.

I'm from NC, so I'll start with THEY HAVE PEPSI!!!! The food and service was phenomenal. The portions were great. The appearance of the food was picturesque and appealing. They also gave me an idea for all my empty wine bottles!

Excellent service from Hunter tonight. He made sure our every need was attended to and you can tell he’s really putting in the work at the bar. Sure am going to miss Datz thanks to awesome servers like Hunter.I had the Fish-N-Chips and asked for bread, but they did even better and brought out two nice grilled pieces of thick toast. They decided they needed me to have the best of the best obviously. They’re really going out strong at Datz Tampa.

This was my first experience at Datz & would easily rate this one of the top restaurants I’ve been to since moving to FL a year ago. 10/10 on all accounts! Absolutely delicious food with plenty of options. (Pictured is the Kentucky Colonel Bowl) Service was attentive and helpful with decision making process & the restaurant itself is a site worth seeing. Thankful I got to stop in before they close down.Parking: Weekend parking behind the building was helpful!

Yeah, so this was not my fave....that picture of the mac and cheese bun burger.....you're not getting that. The mac and cheese bun was pretty over fried......nice dill pickle slices like that? Nah, you're getting cheap hamburger slices... I opted to have a salad instead of the chips and that was really nice. Service was fine. We sat upstairs and it was hot....but, hey, it's 100 degree August in Florida.

I have been coming to the Tampa area since 2010. Every single time I have gone to Datz. It was definitely one our favorite places to celebrate.I was at the restaurant on Saturday night July 2nd. We tried to order take out. No answer on the phone. We tried to make an order on line and tried to make a reservation. Because I wanted to share this experience with my company. We decided to go and order the take out. To our surprise the place was empty. So we decided to stay and order. We waited for our server to come and take our drink order. We waited for ever it seemed for the drinks, our server said that he would have to go and make them himself. After we finally received our drinks. Our server never came back to take our order. After about 40 min. We asked our server if we could place the order to go. I finally had to leave to pick someone at the airport. By the time i came back, my guests had eaten and my food was sitting on the table cold in a to go container. Needless to say the service was terrible slow and the food was not as I had had in the past. Not sure I would ever go back. Very disappointed

Would be more like 3.5. The server and ambience was really pretty and there is a cute outdoor area. Ordered the cheese grits and burnt ends. The grits were tasty and the beef was okay but seemed like it was cubed beef than actual burnt ends. My sis let me try her chicken and waffles and the waffles were good but it seems like seasoning was completely skipped on the chicken.
Stopped here on our way to Indian Rocks Beach. We had the XXX grilled cheese with homemade chips, the Kentucky Colonel chicken bowl and 2 orders of eggs barbacoa. Everything was excellent and our server Elizabeth was incredible and very attentive

I was not pleased with our visit today. The food was not fresh and overpriced. I tried the famous stuffed meatloaf but it was cold the Mac and cheese was just a ball of pasta stuck together. The other 2 people tried steak frites as recommended by our server and the steak was not cooked properly and it lacked flavor. For 3 entrees, 1 coffee, 2 waters, and a 20% tip it was over $85. I would not return.

Really happy we chose this place for lunch, the experience was fabulous from the hostess to the food and everything in between. We had the April in Paris with bacon sandwich as well as the chicken and waffle, absolutely delicious.

As an avid foodie, this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I will say that the atmosphere is nice but that’s not all a patron should pay for. Based on prior reviews I expected the food to wow me and it did the opposite. As you can see in the photos my donut was not fluffy/moist/or sugary. The chicken was warm but that’s about all. I expected my waitress to address this issue but she did not. I would never allow a customer to leave a restaurant with a full plate of food. That should have been an indication that the food was inedible or not satisfactory. Today was my first visit but will also be my last.
