Well I wanted rice with beans and fried meat and they gave me cold rice with Inma toasted meat, ketchup and a salad for 18 pesos, not worth it

Stopped in with my boyfriend before a show nearby and ordered the Garlic Chicken and Crazy Tostones. Delicious, but very rich so sensitive stomachs should be aware. We had a language barrier, but both women working did their best to make sure we got what we wanted and were warm and welcoming.

I ordered the shrimp creole dish with Tostones. The flavor is out of this world. My mouth and tummy are happy and satisfied. The portions were perfect size. Lucky for me is this place is across the street from where I live! I am looking forward to eventually trying everything on their menu.

Good sea food live it aevry thing at the monent
Food is very good but, unfortunately the bad service did not let us enjoy the food. Servers were rude and not attentive. Made us feel like we were a bother to be there.
This restaurant is fun, inexpensive with good traditional Puerto Rican food. Full bar, good sized menu with daily specials. Fresh coconut drinks and piles of green plantains, so you know your tostones are going to be great. We went the for lunch and dinner and had a great time. It's very popular so if you go at peak meal times there may be a wait.
This food is incredible! Best rice&beans, stuffed avocado, chicken … everything! Our hostess was so thoughtful and also made great recommendations. I’ll be dreaming about this plate ?
Food was wonderful, just wish staff was a little more attentive. Location was in a perfect location.
I walked past this place in the afternoon, and it looked pretty nice so I decided to go back for dinner. It took me a while to find it again, and it was quite busy – lots of students from Yale, judging by their t-shirts. I was traveling solo, so I sat down at the bar. The waiter said there was no menu and just rattled off a small number of items they could make. I went for the shredded pork – pernil – with rice and beans. It was very good, especially the pinto beans. I chatted with an elderly lady, a regular, who was sitting at the bar, and we had a great conversation. (It helped that her English was a lot better than my Spanish.) The chef – owner? – came over and gave me a bowl of his chicken stew to taste. They were all eager to show me a good time. Everybody was incredibly sweet to me – it was a great meal, and very inexpensive.
I wouldn’t give this place “traveler first award” food was mediocre and you don’t get a lot. I gave three stars because food wasn’t terrible. The waitress told us the menu changes everyday. Tostones served with no garlic (like how) pastele barely had meat, garlic chicken taste bland. Our arroz con gandules (yellow rice/beans) came out cold. I hate cold food! They close early apparently and while we was still eating, they started cleaning up. Putting the chairs and tables up. That’s rude, you don’t make your customers feel rushed. The bathroom was disgusting ? I just held it. I personally wouldn’t go back nor recommend.

I was very excited to try this place out, I’ve been seeing it a lot lately and traveled about 30 minutes out to try them out, we called both locations because the one on bears was closed and no one picked up at the bush location (even though they both say open). If your going to run a food truck business answer the phone. It’s 2023 I’m not trying to write you a letter for you to answer me.

We had the bad luck of being here a day when a cruise ship was in port at lunchtime. The waitress was clearly in the weeds, but a pro and zipping through service. Problem was, she spoke so quickly that it was hard for us to understand her and we ended up ordering things that were not what she said they would be (we think). Our problem for not being more fluent, but I ended up with a skirt steak that was tough and small and mixed vegetables that were stewed and bland (on a hot summer’s day). My husbands meal was a bit better. If we had chosen differently, or had the other server working that day, I think we would have had a much better experience, but felt so rushed and confused, and really disappointed by the quality of the food.
This was such a great restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. I wanted to lick my plate. That’s how good it was. The restaurant had AC/big fan. It was a perfect cool escape after walking El Morro. The prices were great!
Busy spot with pretty good Puerto Rican food in the middle of Old San Juan. If you're looking for something authentic then look no further.
We went early to avoid that wait times. 7 of us got a table immediately around 5:00. The sampler was great l, but it was difficult to understand the menu and the options. Overall we greatly enjoyed it.
