Good eats
My wife and I came here around 5pm on a Friday night and both ordered the 2 meat platter. The brisket was ok, but kinda dry. The burnt ends were wayyyyy undercooked and certainly not burnt like they should be. The jalapeño Mac and cheese noodles were undercooked to the point of being crunchy, and the French fries were mediocre. The only things that were passable were the beans and the bbq sauce. We were the only customers there and I can see why.

Pretty bad all around. Stopped in for a smoked bologna sandwich and we ordered it, beans, potatoe salad, pulled pork, and brisket. The bologna sandwich is not thick cut like most places but it was decent. Pork was dry as was the brisket. Beans tasted weird. This is not good bbq.

Our first time ordering. Looking for BBQ,our regular place is closed on Sunday. We ordered pulled chicken ? it was so dry I felt like I was eating hay. The frys were soggy and cold. We didn't get part of our order. Called and talked to someone about the order and were supposed to get a call back from the manager. Yet to hear anything after reading some reviews seems to be a constant issue. Buyers beware!!!!.

Deviled Pig in Tampa is a hidden gem that packs a punch of flavor and fun. The quirky decor and lively atmosphere set the stage for a laid-back dining experience with a Southern twist. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the "Devilish Mac n' Cheese Loaded with Pulled Pork." It's comfort food with a spicy kick that satisfies all your cravings in one glorious bowl. This dish is a flavor explosion that will have you planning your next visit before you even finish. But it's not just about the food. The drink menu is a delightful journey, and my personal favorite is the "Spicy Piglet Margarita." It's a perfect balance of heat and sweet, complementing the bold flavors of the dishes. The staff at Deviled Pig adds to the charm, creating a welcoming vibe that makes you feel like you're dining with friends. For a devilishly good time and unforgettable flavors, Deviled Pig is the place to be in Tampa. It's not just a meal; it's a culinary adventure with a side of Southern sass.

The ribs were tender but cold. The food did not look so fresh. When I drove up, the lady was outside smoking. Walked in, and an unpleasant smell was lingering. The ribs' dinner was not the same price that they have listed online. It cost more because she told me they don't sell it like that. I showed her what was online, which was their own website. I think they just wanted more money. So I only ordered one meal. She seemed a little impatient when I was trying to decide since I had to switch around what I wanted. The ribs had flavor, but the rub was what made the ribs gritty.Probably will not go back again.

Overall, the food is okay. The food tastes better than it looks - both in presentation and plating. The menu is all over the place and doesn't flow; suggest one side be meats on top and sides below. Other side should be platters and specials. The star of the show (meats) are buried in the middle on the right hand side under "butchery" below the "originals". The sauce/spices overwhelmed the meat - but it wasn't a deal breaker. The seating is next to the window which radiates heat and the TV looked like it was a used TV as it had 2 grey bars running north/south. The drink selection is limited to bottled Coke, Fanta, and another 1 or 2 that was easily forgotten in the refrigerator. I think they had tea as well. The turkey was dry. The brisket was the thinnest sliced brisket I've ever seen (almost sandwich style). The chicken was good but overly seasoned. The ribs fell off the bone but wasn't overly impressive. The sausage was cut thin as well - might as well just call them chips.I wouldn't be surprised if this place closes down in the next year or so.

First of all, the blonde lady at the front is insanely rude. All of the bbq sauces taste like sugar… all of them. Not a single sauce stands out. This place is a joke lol And on top of that she had an attitude whenever I asked her for something. She isn’t right for customer service. Also this is one of the WORST barbecue spots I’ve ever tried. Dry meat, terrible sandwiches, rude service, weird atmosphere. 0/10 do not recommend??

This place is not worth a second chance. The ribs, smoked turkey and baked beans were OK. Terrible collard greens. The place was dirty. You had to use a scoop to get your ice.

What happened to this place? When it first opened the food was good and fresh and the customer service was great. I stopped in just a few days ago to place an order to go and was very disappointed by both the customer service and the food. I ordered the 2 meat platter and the brisket was mostly fat and the turkey was dry and tasteless. The sides weren't much better. The panko on top of the mac and cheese was burned and tasted bitter. And the baked beans were so awful that I threw them out after 2 bites. The woman at the counter barely acknowledged me when I came in and I stood and waited for nearly 10 minutes for her to take my order. So disappointing. Needless to say I won't be back again.

Was a little warm inside, but that’s literally my only complaint. The food was phenomenal! We tried the ribs, pulled pork, brisket, panko macncheese, and baked beans… not one thing disappointed me! Worth every penny!

Got the ribs and they were alright, definitely had much better. I wish they fell off the bone more. Got mac and cheese and it was terrible, tasted like they used kraft american cheese slices. Baked beans were not good either. Overall would not recommend, go to BJs Alabama bbq instead.

Although I've lived in Tampa most of my life, we came here because we saw this place on Big Food bucket list. The show is rather old so maybe that's why this place was on there. I would question giving this place 2 stars because it probably deserves 1 star after our experience, but due to the deviled pig ball I gave it the extra star. This is probably the only thing that has this place still going. We both ordered the deviled pig ball, a side of baked beans, and 2 Pirate Shipwrecks. The baked beans tasted like a ton of molasses and were hard like they really hadn't been cooked, but the biggest upset was the sandwiches. The bread seemed stale and then after they had already brought us out our food (because we might have wanted something else) they told us they ran out of pork belly, which according to the show is what sets this sandwich off since everything is made in house. The smoked turkey and pulled pork was okay, but without the pork belly I probably would have tried their "Queban." There was no compensation for the lack of pork belly except that when we would return, to remind them and they'll give us something. The customer service subpar and there was no A.C., leaks from the roof, and it's pretty dirty so I wouldn't suggest sitting down. I wouldn't recommend and I won't go back...clearly the quality and service has gone down.
