We ate here for the first time with some friends . Food and presentation were good, food was flavorful, and they had a live guitar player & singer for authentic Mexican music. Service was fast, and our server was very attentive. Overall, I gave a 5 star. I'm my opinion, very good, flavorful & an overall great night. I WOULD recommend Don Julio's and we will be returning soon.

I ordered the nachos and there was approximately 9 chips, and it was white cheese that was very dry. My husband got a carnitas torta and it was “good” nothing special, just your meat and veggies. Great place but I would NOT describe as “authentic mexican food” AT ALL!

That Salsa is was scooped right from the pot where it was mixed, got that magical after burn ? of spices, just enough to make you pick that next piece of chips to go back diving into that tiny pepper shaped ?, I'll go as often as I crave salsa. BTW, Habanero Margatita kicks axx...

A great Mexican restaurant in north Tampa, with authentic Mexican food, great service and, on the night we were there, pleasant live music from a Mexican guitar player/singer. The restaurant is large, but the tables are spread apart so you can have a conversation with your companions while enjoying the good food. We started with the included queso and chips, then added a Don Julio Queso for us both and a margarita on the rocks for me. For our main course we shared a Molcajete, which is beef, chicken and shrimp with onions, red and green bell peppers cooked in a delicious sauce and served in an earthenware bowl which keeps it hot and served with corn tortillas. We finished our meal with flan. Service from Ariadna V was great. An excellent meal for a total bill of $63.35 before tip.
The food 8s good, but not amazing. The service was friendly but not super attentive. The atmosphere is probably the best part of this place.

Quesabirria tacos w consome is pretty decent but charging 18% for a party of 4 adults and 3 kids 10 year older when service is super slow, we waited more than 30 mins to get our food after we ordered, and restaurant was far from being full is ridiculous..You guys need a manager and or more cooks, it's a shame because food is

I was traveling through Tampa and found this restaurant. We went out of our way 20 min to find this restaurant because it had a decent review star. I spent over 300 dollars, and this was possibly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I personally ordered fajitas. The meet was overcooked and had starred to cool already. The rice and bean looked as if someone had grown them at the plate. Then, they tried to rearrange it with their fingers. The guacamole was brown and discolored. The tortilla was stale and somewhat soggy. My wife left the table after eating some of the appetizers. We literally made it a mile down before I had to pull over because she was physically sick after the appetizers.
Too much cilantro in the salsa. Queso dip was yellow with way too much pepper flavor cooked into it. Chips were kind of meh, might have been going stale. Taquitos were great. Mexicano bowl should have had beans in it. It was too plain without them.

Loved the biria ?! The shrimp and fish tacos not so much! Was fishy like not cooked well and the margaritas I wasn't given option of salt or sugar on my rim . ORLANDO LOCATIONS ARE WAYYY BETTER

I have always been a fan of Don Julio's. I believe their other location on Bears is also open but the new one in Tampa Palms is equally as good. Their chimichangas it's great! The service is also very nice because they are willing to take their time and do not rush you out. The attention to detail in the restaurant is great as well as the fact that there's a lot of authentic design throughout the place.
