I had an exquisite Saturday afternoon catching up with family and friends at the bar top located outside the entrance of Driftlight Steakhouse. We all raved over our cocktails. Tommy served up five-star cocktails and service. Everyone's meal was fresh and tasty.

This is our first time here. We were passing by and it seemed like a nice place, the food was delicious, and the dessert was amazing. But we cannot overlook the incredible service provided by Miss “Grace” it was really very good…

I really enjoyed the food! The ribeye has the perfect crusting, delicious bread and wonderful brussels. The carrot cake is the best you will ever taste! How is it so light and fluffy?!?! The server took a while to warm up and disappeared for a while,

Super good! Price is very high, I have had better steaks for the price but overall was great. Definitely worth the trip if you want a higher end dining experience. The service was great!

Since relocating from Chicago to Tampa a year ago, I’ve been on the hunt for a steakhouse that could rival the quality I enjoyed back home. After trying numerous spots, my search finally ended last night at Driftlight Steakhouse. My wife and I had an exceptional experience—attentive service, a welcoming atmosphere, and food that exceeded expectations, especially the filet. We’d recommend Driftlight without reservation and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Great steaks and Hallibut fish dishes. I loved the beet salad and the purple potato bread service.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on Open Table and decided to give it a try. We liked it so much that we went back the following weekend. I had the best filet mignon I have ever ate here. My husband got the tomahawk steak. He loved it. We sampled various appetizers and side dishes. They were all exceptional. The only drawback to this place is parking. You either have to find downtown parking or pay for valet. $50 for valet and it is discounted for dining at Driftlight which I believe made it $25 if I remember correctly.
We had a magnificent dinner here, from the host, Trev, to our server, Patrick, and Chef Pedro, who personally delivered the beautiful Delmonico steak we shared. The Oysters Lobsterfeller was superb, as well as the perfectly roasted asparagus. Overall, one of the best steakhouse experiences we have had. We highly recommend this as a must-go while in Tampa!
Shame On JW Marriott!!! Thought your brand was something you were proud of. Obviously not in Tampa!!
Should have been a very pleasant diner out. Unfortunately there does not appear to be a manager of this restaurant.
Went for first time and was very pleased at the initial impression.
Ordered from the menu and got ready for a great meal. Starters were terrific.
…Then in came 2 young people dressed like they were trying to look as homeless vagrants. She had shredded jeans and he was in a grossly oversized and unwashed appearing sweat pants. They joined a table of women who were appropriately dressed. They were not ordering just appeared to have dropped in for a long visit. Pulled chairs from adjacent tables to plop into and show off the need for “crack spackle.” Parked their leftover clamshell takeout boxes on the table and ruin any ambiance that was there.
JW Marriott:
If you want to advertise, take reservations, and charge fore a quality dining experience YOU need a manager who can at the very least do a table touch during the evening. Then you could “see” and perhaps keep your paying customers in a reasonably proper environment.
So no need to dress for dinner at JW. Just grab something out of a dumpster and come on down!!!
