This place is teeny tiny and that's honestly one of the reasons I wanted to try it! Something so small has to be good right?! So my wife and I went on a random Thursday and it was surprisingly busy. There were plenty of tables available outside but 1. it was very hot and humid, 2. I was not trying to be a mosquitos meal while I eat my meal, and 3. based on the reviews with service being touch and go, we didn't want to be out of sight, out of mind. So we happily waited for our table inside. Lots of people came in and either decided to go somewhere else or to eat outside but we kept waiting. A 4 top came available first but they asked us to wait a minute or 2 more for a 2 top which made sense to us because it was busy. This was all fine until the 4 top next to us that had just arrived got exponentially better service than us and had their food ordered and served before we even got our appetizers ordered. Our waitress forgot about us, which, honestly, was expected based on the reviews. Once we finally got our food, it was really delicious! The orange sunrise roll was so beautifully bright with citrus, the seaweed salad was so yummy, and the nigiri was bangin. Our waitress did apologize a couple times for the wait and forgetting about us so we are very thankful for that. We will come back! It was still great food! Maybe next time we'll try to get in at the bar.
The pricing was also really great, btw. I've seen a couple reviews that it's overpriced which I find crazy. We easily would have spent double for the same quality at any other sushi place downtown, in South Tampa, or Hyde Park.

I have been going here for years and it never disappoints. My favorite is the mackerel.

This place has gone downhill in quality, service and value. I also don’t agree with their 15% mandatory gratuity added for takeout orders. I’ll be going elsewhere in the future.

My favorite sushi place in Tampa. Full stop. Highly recommend Super Crunchy Roll and Jabba The Hut!
My go to place to eat now, I love the florida without creamecheese. Would highly recommend.

Living in Seminole Heights, this place is convenient, but honestly I’d rather drive a little further to downtown or South Tampa when craving sushi. It’s not bad, but there’s nothing particularly notable about it either.
They have the same standard sashimi/nigiri that every place has; nothing unusual or particularly fresh tasting or high in quality. The rolls are boring and a lot have cream cheese in them, which is a big negative for me.
The small place was busy when we went, and our waiter seemed to be serving everyone, so there was a lot of time waiting to place food and drink orders, and to ask for the check.

Food is great but pricey. Service is not great. A couple of staff have no idea how to be pleasant or useful. Our waitress, which we have had before, almost never checks back to see if you need anything. She doesn't ask when she serves if you need any sauces, lemons or chopsticks.

Always wanting to visit Ebisu, on Saturday I finally did. Though I ordered to go...l got the Orange Sunshine special sushi and the crab rangoons. I must tell everyone that they are so delicious...you must try it!!! The place is very beautiful, and a place to come on a Saturday dinner. I will come again, and try their sangria.

The food is great but service was terrible. My party was unaware there was 15 dollar minimum order per person and it caused so much confusion when ordering so we ended up splitting everything-bad idea everyone ended up paying way more than expected and then after poor service we were told by our server we should’ve tipped more. Not only was service confusing, but we also had to ask for the rest of our food (that we got to go) as we were leaving and that order was also messed up. Our friend has been coming here for years bc the food is delicious but just not a good dine in experience.
