We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant. We arrived early for our reservation time and they were able to accommodate us immediately. We were delighted with the excellent hospitality we received from the moment we arrived and quickly greeted by our server Nick. The menu offered a moderate number of options, all of which appeared to be thoughtfully curated with unique ingredients and flavors. My wife ordered the duck breast and I chose the Fried Airline chicken and we started with the sourdough bread service and burrata. All of these items were delicious. We were too full for dessert but we ordered the Espresso Flancocho to take home. This was a very unique dessert with flavors I would not have expected but they worked. The cajerta quemada de ancho sauce that it was tooped with was excellent and I would describe it as a creamy caramel/toffee sauce with a spicy ancho chile kick. It was very good to take home since all the other desserts were paired with ice cream. I definitely recommend Edison Food + Drink Lab.
The food was absolutely phenomenal! Just wow! The combination of flavors on each plate was a true work of art. 10/10 recommend!
Superb experience. our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. food was delicious and unique. presentation was fun too. we were a group of 10. love love love!
We truly enjoyed our visit to Edison. The atmosphere was great, the cocktails were excellent, and both the appetizer and main entrées were outstanding — everything was flavorful and well prepared. Unfortunately, the desserts were a disappointment compared to the rest of the meal. We ordered the espresso flancocho and the key lime pie, and both fell short of expectations. The flan, in particular, was dense and lacked the creamy texture and flavor we were hoping for. Edison remains a restaurant I'd recommend for its food and drinks, but I'd suggest revisiting those two desserts — they don't match the otherwise high quality of the dining experience.
The overall experience at Edison is outstanding, the food is unbelievable, certainly one of the 3 places in the Tampa area.
We returned after a long time away and were disappointed. Service was great, but we were told one menu item was being substituted because the sister restaurant had “taken it all”. The duck breast was extremely rare (not med rare as requested) and full of tendons. The NY strip was also chewy and full of tendons. It seems like the quality of ingredients has declined over time.
Consistently a 10/10 over the years. The food is always so good and attentive service. Dylan was super helpful and kind.
Interior could use some updating 😅

My wife and I have been going to Edison's food and drink Lab for about five years now. This place is incredible, the food that drinks the service and the atmosphere were all top-notch. In a very unassuming location but very safe. Recommend to anybody looking for a curated fine dining experience with excellent drinks to match.
NOT WORTH IT!!! The duck breast was extremely chewy. One of the pieces of duck was completely inedible. I addressed the issue with the waiter, no apology. He did ask if I wanted something else; I declined. Nothing was taken off the bill. The vegetables weren't much better. The old fashion, however, was delicious. Still not worth almost $100 before tip.
Amazing staff and delicious food! We were celebrating my birthday and our glasses were always full and we had exactly what we needed
Edit/Update: Even though I had no real need/desire to do so, the restaurant requested me to reach out via social media channels so ownership could speak with me which I respectfully did. They read the message and never reached out. Speaks volumes.
Original review: I have no idea what happened to this place. Over the last 5 to 6 years it’s progressively gone downhill. It went from one of our top restaurants to recommend in the Tampa/St Pete area to a place that we will never go to again. Food quality started going down a couple of years ago, but now it seems like they just don’t care at all. Menu is sloppy. Restaurant felt dirty and uncared for. Cocktails used to be special, now they are low quality and prepared poorly. Appetizers are attempting to be something more than they are. This used to be a place where the cheeseboard was a badge of honor and probably the best in town, now it doesn’t even exist. Main dishes are frankly disgusting at this point. Pepper encrusted strip steak tasted like they wanted to put so much pepper on that you couldn’t tell it was a cheap steak from Winn-Dixie. An attempt at covering for the poor quality with some god-awful chili sauce. Chili sauce with pepper crust? Felt like they were trying to ruin your taste buds. For the same $59 you can get 3 scallops with black bean sauce that could best be described as the juice that comes from a can of black beans and an obnoxious level of greens just pummeling the flavors of the scallops. The absolute best dish served was the grilled cheese and fries for our kids. That’s so sad. We would have MUCH rather had that than our scallops and steak. This was for a birthday dinner and we got our check and left rather than stay for whatever terribly flavored dessert was going to be slopped onto a plate. Ordered or not we decided to just leave and get anywhere else but here. Don’t waste your time or well earned money. No wait since nobody wants to be here though.

compared to previous visits, this one was disappointing. the quality of the food lacked the originality and zest that were exhibited previously. Example: the potato crusted oysters are now glorified hush puppies. the lighting is so poor that i had to use my phone to read the menu. a candle or small lamp would have not only helped, but also would have added to the ambience.
