Love the beef empanadas, the chicken not so much but the beef is killer and the salad caliente pollo is crazy good with a hint of a kick

I often order the Arepa con Pollo Desmechado for breakfast and it's perfect every time. It's definitely my favorite.

I've had breakfast and dinner at El Cafetal multiple times and it never disappoints.

Real tasty Traditional food. Sopa de Pollo (chicken soup) beats any vaccines and or meds for the flu or cold. My opinion.

Very bad service and they want you to pay for their mistakes and I don't recommend it. The waitress doesn't listen and is very spoiled. Cold and tasteless food.

We visit the restaurant all the time
We love the food, but we have already had two bad experiences, we arrived at the restaurant at 7:20 PM to order two orders of Red Snapper fish that we like so much and the employee tells us I'm sorry but doesn't give me time to do it. I understand that after you order empanadas and other appetizers it is disrespectful that we have to leave without eating because they don't want to make the food. The restaurant should not close at 8:00, it should close at 7:00.
We work and try to arrive as soon as possible
And for the second time they don't let them go without eating.
Very sad.

The awful service negates anything positive about this place. I have given El Cafetal multiple tires because I honestly enjoyed their food, but after my most recent experience with their terrible service, I won’t be back - The service was so awful I ended up leaving without food.
