Dont get the carne asada its as thin as a piece of paper and very dry as a result. All the other food was great! Lomo saltado was amazing

I came in to grab a café con leche—my usual go-to—about an hour before closing, and was told they had already cleaned the coffee machine and weren’t serving coffee anymore. Really disappointing. If you’re open, customers should still be able to order what’s on the menu. Won’t be stopping by again anytime soon.
El Cafetal is one of my go-to spots—I’ve been coming since they were SOG (South of Gandy). I used to buy 200+ empanadas every Friday to share with my vendors and clients. The food is always great. I just wish the beef empanadas had a little more meat, but the sancocho is excellent and the guava con queso is a must-try!

Their food is really good but when I order on uber eats they frequently forget the sauces I paid for. I called and told them and said you forgot my large garlic sauce and they told me to go pick it up, what’s the point of ordering for delivery?
