El Cafetal is one of my go-to spots—I’ve been coming since they were SOG (South of Gandy). I used to buy 200+ empanadas every Friday to share with my vendors and clients. The food is always great. I just wish the beef empanadas had a little more meat, but the sancocho is excellent and the guava con queso is a must-try!
Their food is really good but when I order on uber eats they frequently forget the sauces I paid for. I called and told them and said you forgot my large garlic sauce and they told me to go pick it up, what’s the point of ordering for delivery?
Come here specifically for the chicken soup, it’s the best in town. Came in today and Sebastian recommended the beef soup and it didn’t disappoint. Sebastian was quick, friendly and knew the menu very well! True pro
