This restaurant made our stay in Tampa a wonderful breakfast spot every weekend! The people are so nice and friendly and food is always so good! Thank you all for a great place to enjoy breakfast !

Two of us arrived around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Parking was available close to the door. The place was nearly full, but we walked in and were seated immediately. The place is casual and family friendly, and the tables were not too close together, and it wasn't too noisy. As soon as we were seated, they took our order for drinks. Within a couple of minutes, we placed our food order, and our server was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Prices are about average, the food was very good, and the portions were generous. We had a very satisfying experience there, and we will definitely go to Ellie's again.

All I can say is woweeeeee. This tuna melt is literally melting in my mouth. Delectable. Im eating real tasting mouthwatering food and may not have to move to Europe for good food. Hahahahah. I love the tables, the comfortable lighting ( doesn’t feel like a hospital) and even the earthenware mugs. Their attention to detail is impeccable. My pops has been non stop talking about this place , shared and that it is family owned and insisted we come here for Father’s Day. We are so happy it’s only a few minutes from our house. P.S- I do not know the owners, I am unaffiliated. I’m just enthusiastic and I stopped in the middle of eating to write this review. The world must know!

We had the sweetest woman wait on us.

We are regulars for breakfast and lunch. Both have a large selection and EVERYTHING is really good, especially the breakfast wraps, Philly cheesesteaks, clubs, and the best Cole slaw!

Visited for the 1st time yesterday and had a wonderful lunch! There was basically no wait around 1pm and our waiter greeted us probably within 1-2 minutes of our group of 3 being seated. The service was fantastic from our first interaction. Breakfast is available all day but be sure to check the daily specials. I had the steak special and have no regrets! The service from Georgia was just excellent! I would certainly recommend giving this family owned restaurant a try!

One of the worst experiences at a restaurant. I was driving by it for a couple of years and finally decided wow I want to give that place a shot. I went in the first time and it was OK to be fair. Decided to bring an out-of-town guests and two of my friends, on a weekend we parked on the side of the building and when we came out not only our car but two other cars were blocked in by somebody parking directly behind us diagonally. I went in the restaurant and asked them to announce it since we were unable to leave because we were blocked in towards the back door area. After about 10 minutes, a man came out of the kitchen area and I said why wouldn't you just park over there instead of blocking people in there? You have three cars blocked in? Said this is employee parking One of my guest said where does it say employee parking? instead of saying, I'm so sorry. Maybe he had to deliver something to the kitchen. He said it is employee parking. I don't care if it's marked or not. I believe this may have been the owner. He was extremely rude, unnecessarily. But that wasn't enough. He took the time to scold the three guests I brought with me. Scolding us for parking in an area that was clearly an unmarked area. I said those other two people are also going to need to get out when they come out. He said it's their own fault for parking in employee parking. by the way, there were at least 10 empty spaces towards the back. My guest being diplomatic said Iif you're gonna have employee parking, perhaps you should label it or market so people will know. It was clearly not employee parking. It was clear. He decided to declare employee parking instead of apologizing. sadly, we will not return to this restaurant which is only about 2 miles from our house. No reason to be rude. There's never a reason to be rude.

It’s the best local diner in Tampa Bay! Been coming here for years. Nobody beats their Phillies, potato salad, Greek salad, breakfast, you name it. Staff is amazing! Prices are great. And I love the owners!

The food is always good, fast service and our waitress Dianni is the best. She has a great personality, great service and we always feel welcome with her. Also prices are very reasonable

Good food, quick service, fast food orders, the prices are very fair. Best time for lunch is after 1pm.
Parking is limited around noon time rush.
